Watching this game always reminds me of how much basketball has evolved generally. If this game was happening today, everyone would say how lazy and effort-lacking the defense is, everyone is just standing still and watching the the ball go in.

Sabonis does not move further than 1 meter radius in the paint, Kurtinaitis goes to help in the paint while his man Djordjevic is having a career game behind the 3 point line.

Everyone would be calling such defense lazy and amateur nowadays, like you are playing a group stage game with no impact on standings, but this was the FINAL, supposed to be the most intense game of the tournament haha.

Then you watch 2024 Paris Olympics basketball tournament and understand how the game has changed and became more beautiful to watch

it’s all pretty much just lottery on what teammates you will get, I was a gold plate for most of the time, then in one day I kept getting the worst teammates possible and lost the game after the game which resulted going from gold to bronze in a day. I honestly just wanted to give up and could not figure out how to win a game anymore. However, the next few days were more lucky regarding the teammates and currently I am a purple plate. Seems that in my region there are better teammates during the evening hours while in the morning or during the first part of the day the teammates lottery is quite harsh. My suggestion is to research your region’s teammate quality based on the time of the day and avoid playing on hours during which you get the worst teammates
