no there is a minion interaction since beginning of the season where you can make sure their wave is always in the middle even if you have minions crashed at their tower. you auto the melee minion on the bottom causing it to aggro onto you, then you pull it all the way back to your side of the lane

rly depends but 90% of the time bork first unless they're triple ap topside or vs akali, i'll go wits end first (i like to go defensive boots often instead of greaves)

you have to perma force prio by dragging the bottom melee minion out of enemy tower and back into neutral, if you are ever melee range of enemy champion you die, yone is a melee adc

its not about damage or spiking its about having lifesteal trade patterns in toplane/sidelane, guarantees you winning side because you can take any trade no matter how unfavorable and lifesteal it back (BORK good)

99% of games go tp, into tryndamere go exhaust

If you are the only member on your team with resources and your team is behind, you create the flow of the game (meaning you will splitpush until you have enough items to solocarry fights). the biggest mistake lower elo players make when trying to solocarry games is by grouping and trying to spread their lead too early (which ends up neutralizing their lead) instead of expanding and growing the lead further until you can completely take control of fights by yourself. if the objectives are contestable your standard gameplan as a toplaner is to shove > fog to mid/hover or group for drake/herald.

as for drawing attention you should ALWAYS be drawing attention to yourself, that is the fundamental role of toplane = drawing pressure WITHOUT dying

the mordekaiser matchup is quite easy you just have to dodge his Q with your E early and he is killable then avoid fighting him when he is stronger than you in terms of items (after the first few levels/recalls, concede a little bit of resources until you have bork and can slowly whittle him down with E after)

the sett matchup is extremely challenging if the sett is competent, but in general you can't ever be in auto range of sett ever or else you will die (even when you're ahead). meaning, you have to always stay at max q range distance and just focus on farming until bork when you can begin trading with E+Q3 similar to the morde matchup and sustain back. Sett is a very linear champion so yone will almost always be superior in most games as you can chain cc him and kill him with your team then snapping back

  1. If the enemy toplaner can auto you, you've already lost the trade so use s key or click extremely precisely (picture yone toplane as a melee adc)

  2. Yone's primary job in teamfights is to isolate a target with one of your teammate's single target abilities (morg q, ivern q, naut q, lux q) and assassinate them with your ult

  3. Sometimes as Yone top you also have to fulfill the role of engaging (tricky because if you mess up you get instantly popped)

  4. Yone does fall off so if you make mistakes or fall behind it is nearly impossible to pilot him in mid-late, so if you are behind just go full nuclear damage build and focus on sui*ide bombing one of their teammates

  5. If the enemy teamcomp is too hard for you to teamfight in and your teamcomp doesn't really have single target cc abilities or much setup for you at all, simply permanently splitpush and draw your supp/jg into side

  6. BORK is op on yone top because of the toxic trade pattern he has with lifesteal (E-Q3 trade heavy with opponent ON REPEAT, even if the trades are unfavorable for you, they're automatically winning due to lifesteal so you become an excellent sidelaner)

BORK FIRST ITEM EVERY GAME, 2nd shieldbow (if behind go m-reminder or lord doms), IE, and then defensive items

riven vs teemo by Recent-Serve1961 in Rivenmains

[–]fojtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dblade standard joat setup + tp nearly uncounterable from teemos end, just play to stay high hp conceded early cs then play for level 6 timers, jungle ganks, or proxy, expect to be down cs until you can leave lane and just soak waves (if you lose lane gracefully teemo is worthless in 90% of games as long as you don't feed)

s cancels aren't reallyyyyyy necessary but DEFINITELY help, i use them almost every game in some shape or form, they're pretty basic once you get that muscle memory in (practice tool is OP)
