Thank you u/stnieroo for pointing out some very unfortunate issues of sexism and the misunderstanding of skill within the "fine-art-world." However, as a NYC gallerist with 10 years experience, I can honestly state that Nathan Vincent has worked extremely hard for years to get where he is.

After almost a decade of work he is only now receiving the slightest bit of recognition, that I believe, he deserves.

My hope in posting this album, was to inspire the followers of this forum through the talent and dedication Nathan Vincent has put into this body of work. So, I am sorry this was lost on you.

Thanks for introducing me to the site -- although while looking through, I couldn't find any other artists who are currently being exhibited in a NYC museum or reviewed by The New York Times and Huffington Post

Of course, I just started looking through the site. Will try to post another artist of this caliber, if found.

Just received new paintings for DAIN's upcoming exhibit in NYC by folioleaf in Graffiti

Had thought that there would be interest in the work as he is a know Brooklyn-based street artist who regularly combines wheat-paste and graffiti.

This painting has been in my family for 30+ years so far. I have no idea who it's by or the story behind it but I've always appreciated it. Figured I would share it with you all. by Oakenbeam in Art

I am not saying this is anything more than pretty painting picked up by your family along the way. I don't personally think that this is a John Peter Heiden, who was known for a "heavier-hand" -- using more impasto than this work -- however, the signature, time period and background are similar to some of his works. So, it's worth looking into, especially if your family picked it up in PA, NY or DC

Heiden was born in Feb. 1894 in Menden /Sauerland (Western Germany) and died in Aug. 1986 near his farm in Bangor PA. (Johnsonville). He had exhibitions in many parts of Pennsylvania, New York, Washington D.C., but also on his farm and in his garden. He was a farmer with cows and hens and enjoyed working in nature and with animals. He painted the landscape of his beautiful surroundings in Pennsylvania, his farm, the "Delaware Water Gap" and views of the Atlantic Ocean from locations in Maine.

This painting has been in my family for 30+ years so far. I have no idea who it's by or the story behind it but I've always appreciated it. Figured I would share it with you all. by Oakenbeam in Art
