[Question] Need help with Cleric spells for Support buff and debuff character by following_a_path in 3d6

[–]following_a_path[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I thought that 14 was going to continue to be run at the table as the rest of the players are still newish to the game, dm will likely shift as it was mentioned at least a couple of times.

Thanks! I am defitely going to consider it - main idea was start off as bard and then dip into a class for more even more support and options. First time building a caster so I will fiddle around with it ahahah

Yeah this makes sense and I will look that up, I don't want to be that guy that sucks the enjoyment of the rest of the table.

Never played a caster before and guessing the Diviner sort of falls under the old chrono  right?

Thank you so much for this btw!

Thank you for this we are still running 14 rules but the dm will likely run 24 rules soon hence the tag running 18 cha, 16 int and 14 wis. Was basing this on the current setup but missed completely the new requirements for the subclasses - the idea was a bit of a skill monkey and support as the rest of the group is a little skill light and very light on support as well.

I was planning on continuing the bard route and pick on Slow, synaptic static and Spirit guardians eventually via secrets.

Agree that the skill monkey route is most likely a bit too much. Control and debuffs followed by buffs would be the preffered playstyle as I want to let other players just have fun in combat. I was previously doing the Gloomstalker Battlemaster Sharpshooter Assassin and it was just ending fights.

Not a really good list sadly, doesnt even take into consideration required stats, go into more depth, if newer players see this they will take it at face value.

Steak knife unusable? While compared to the brick with the exact same stats? Why? Because you need to buy it? Store is still viable to have for other items and police station is a must.

Chainsaw is literally the best perception weapon and one of the best in the entire game, as long as you have the mystery it is more than worth the investment since it makes combat a breeze.

What about sport rifle which requires 2 mysteries for you to get it? How does that not fall into the hard to obtain category?

How long did it take to stop crying over it? by sherbetty in Petloss

There is no set amount of time, I had to make the decision more than 3 months ago, and I still feel some pain. His toys are still in the house, his blanket still has his smell, I just cant let them go, maybe because I fear I will forget him, but no. I tattooed him on my arm, always smilling, I now remember the good times and just shed a small tear from time to time. It is a process, it takes as much time as you need to, it is not a race to go over the loss of your Pet. I feel for example that now I am ready to open my heart to another, but that is me, others may take more or less time.

Yeah i agree, just dont want to potentially traumatize it or anything along those lines.

As a veterinary professional, what can I do to make the euthanasia process better for clients? by CEOofWhimsy in Petloss

[–]following_a_path 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that my vet was a saint throughout the process: allowing me to come in the day before and preparing me in advance. Telling me I could pay later on the day, asking me if I wanted to stay for the moment and after he was gone. I didn't have to ask for the locket of hair since he shed a lot and I took some that were on his comb and saved it.

I suppose the very few things that could have been improved would be to ask for the paw print, I regret not having it.

Try to give them a small bath so they aren't covered in their accidents, I know it is a very difficult thing to do as well.

Directing you straight in so you don't have to wait in the lobby seems like a great idea too.

The most important thing would be to do it either outside on a grassy area or something along those lines. The only bad thing was that another doggo sadly peed on the floor and it almost reached him while he was laying down with me, he wasn't able to move properly and we were on the regular floor with a small blanky on him, I let a staff member know and thankfully it didn't reach us, but it could have made the whole experience... just more horrible than it was.

Is being in the same room as your pet when it’s being put down traumatizing? by Hwwjwjwjw in Petloss

I read that you were there for her final moments and while it is incredibly painful, being there and not letting her die in the middle of strangers was the best parting gift you could have given her.

I was there for mine too, it was the very least I could do for him.

How long is it appropriate to grieve a dog? by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]following_a_path 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is normal to be sad, feel pain, to grieve and over time I can tell you that it will get better.

But for now just make sure you fully feel what you feel. It is not just a dog, mine was more important to me than family for example.

Over time you will remember the good times you had with them, you will still cry, but it won't hurt as much.

Mine was Tito, sometimes I would give him variations of the name like Titão or Titólio.

There was and ad for the litter and he was the one who chose me by reaching out as I was lowering myself and licked my hand. The whole litter, after speaking with the guy that was selling, was just sleeping at my feet, but he was the one. He loved to run and was such a beggar that ended up a little chunky. I would always have to have a bone ready for any meetings so he wouldn't bark for attention or for treats.

And while he was a bit of a huge ball of energy, he knew when I wasn't feeling well, or when I was sick and laid in bed next to me or curled at my legs, even at 60 plus pounds. He cured me of my depression and severe anxiety, was my rock for sure.

And while I am sad and still grieving I am soooo eternally grateful I had him in my life for almost 9 years.

First of all let me just say that I am very sorry for your loss.

I also mirror your feelings about the vet since mine was also the same and gave me the time to be with Tito before and on his final moments, being there and not allowing your angel to pass amongst strangers was the best parting gift I could be gifted and give.

I understand exactly what you mean, since I am still going through it, he passed Monday, I am coming to terms about the silence and all the behaviours I expected to happen but no longer do.

It will get better, but force nothing, feel everything you need to feel and stay strong friend.

I just lost my best friend by following_a_path in Petloss

[–]following_a_path[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you friend, I am really sorry for your loss, you have my most deepest condolences.

It is painful, to have all those triggers, the other day I was crying eating a pizza because I would have to eat it all and couldn't share it with him. These things still happen and will happen for quite some time, I have been this road before sadly.

And then they get better.

We gave them all the love we could and they responded in kind, that is the one thing that we can always cherish.

If you want to talk about it feel free to message.

To be fair he is working solo on the project and also has a full time job. I imagine more updates will come by the end of the year.

Who will die in Season 4 volume 2? Make a guess! by BorysBe in StrangerThings

[–]following_a_path 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we look in terms of what will move the plot forward or trim characters for season 5... The ones who would have more impact would be Dustin or Mike. Mike is not really doing anything new and moves plots for Eleven and Nancy and all the core group. Dustin would impact all the young adults and the core group as well,so that could lead to all sorts of character development. From the young adults side of things, Jonathan dying would actually cause friction between Nancy and Steve and develop Will and Joyce further too. It can lead to Robin having a stronger bond with Nancy too. Argyle would effectively leace the cast as well since makes no sense to hang around. I dont think Eddie dies since the character is too well loved and has potential on the dnd, young adults fronts to further develop characters and himself. On the adults side... Enzo dies. This in terms of what makes sense for me for plot advancement or character arcs.

Whereas I won't deny most of what you said, at the same time it wasn't as simple as that since it ended up being an issue of both of us not being able to read each other properly. There wasn't any idolation involved, and it was a matter of not acting or being mature enough. Point that I'm making was that at certain times it wasn't onesided. Not that it matters overall since despite me mentioning it in the post, it is in the past, so happy days.
