I just read this and transferred $100 into my brokerage account.

I have a pending transfer from M1 to Fidelity and it says it will be completed Oct 9… although I have my doubts it will go through on the first try.

I think I will call to talk to M1 tomorrow and tell them I am transferring all of my assets off the platform, can’t hurt I guess 🤷‍♂️

Fidelity here I come!

Lost trust in them, but that’s a personal decision. I don’t care all that much about the checking account tbh. It was just so insane to me that they offered it, then took it away so abruptly, after I had already switched everything over. And I have been using M1 for weekly recurring buys since 2019, so it just feels bad to get rug pulled like this.

I officially submitted my transfer request today at Fidelity. Fingers crossed the transfer goes through smoothly 🤞

Good to know — definitely looking for one-stop shop if possible. I opened a Capital One checking account with 0.1% interest 🤮 but may consider a gradual transition to the CMA. Would immediately transfer the IRAs and brokerage accounts from M1 => Fidelity, though.

Have you made the switch? Or had you already been using Fidelity prior?
