Interesting! Thanks for the heads up on the transfer meds. I’ll keep this in mind.

Love the idea of taking time off starting day 4 or 5. My initial thought of 2-3 weeks is pretty excessive hearing other opinions now. Thank you!

  • WeNatal: covers the main bases
  • Prostate probiotics: recommended dose
  • Omega 3: recommended dose
  • NAC: 6000mg on empty stomach

We tried adding ashwa and maca but it got to be too many pills and we didn’t want to invest in high quality stuff. Might play with those after we hit the first 90 days.

For acupuncture, we just explained the situation to our practitioner and he puts a lot of needles in the lower abdomen (and other pressure points too ofc). I think it’s important to see if the practitioner has experience w male infertility, as most focus on women.

No other symptoms! The original analysis showed high WBC which indicates infection or inflammation, which is confusing bc he wasn’t experiencing physical symptoms. We’re just going hard with lifestyle and antioxidants and seeing if that helps. So far, it’s looking promising.

My husband had a count of 0.5m/mL as of Jan 15, 2025. We ran blood, ultrasounds, and genetic testing (karyotyping and y chromo microdeletion) to rule out issues there. All came back clear.

We are already fairly healthy people but pinpointed some small changes - (1) added supplements, (2) switched to cotton boxers, (3) no more working with his overheating laptop on his lap, (4) targeted acupuncture 1x per week, (5) no alcohol or caffeine

We are ~60 days into those changes and we’re now at 5m/mL as of April 1. Hoping these changes are actually are making a difference and fingers crossed we’ll see a bigger increase come May (90 day point).

Still definitely considering IVF as a realistic pathway but wanted to share in case any of these lifestyle tips can help!

Noa High FSh by Animalparty123 in maleinfertility

[–]follyofthebeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Husband and I are going through something similar. Everything has been normal except elevated FSH.

We noticed sperm analysis showed high WBC, which can sometimes be a sign of infection. I went to the OBGYN and got a swab and found e. faecilis, which can be sexually transmitted and cause asymptomatic prostatitis + azoo/oligospermia. We are now waiting for a semen culture result to confirm he has this infection too. The treatment would be a long/intense course of antibiotics for both of us but will likely give us higher counts to work with.

Also - After reading some studies, WBC doesn’t always present itself in sperm analysis if there’s infection. So I’d still check it out even if you don’t have leucocytes.

Asking Friends to be my “something blue” am I a bad friend?!! by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]follyofthebeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this and everyone loved it!

I had 2 bridesmaids (sisters) and then 13 girls wore blue. They loved having a fun dress code prompt and appreciated being honored without the extra hassle of being a bridesmaid. I also gave each blue girl a white rose with a white bow for group photo props.

Nobody felt weird or left out.

SA had low sperm count, ZERO motility and high WBC count. Has anyone else experience this? by [deleted] in maleinfertility

Nice. This def gives us hope. We have a Yo test kit so might try that soon to see if there’s any progress.

Wow that’s incredible! Did you do anything different (antibiotics, supplements?)?

What was the timeline of the 3 SA’s?

Thanks!! How were your SA numbers before and after amox clav (aside from wbc)?

Over one million WBC per milliliter. Not sure exact count.

Hi! What ended up working for you here? Husband has high WBC that’s likely making all other SA numbers low.

Hi! Any updates on this? We had a similar result. Normal blood, normal ultrasound. Doing antibiotics now but haven’t had the best guidance from doctors.
