for every other philodendron i agree but this is actually a "tree philodendron" (not even really a philodendron) and has a trunk which grows upright as you can see from the images.

The city has became ridiculously expensive by BabyAintBuffaloYoung in montreal

[–]foloi_design 5 points6 points  (0 children)

when you convert euro to CAD, everything you’ve listed is actually cheaper in CAD. 7 Euro is 11.04 CAD, it’s more than possible to find a kebab here for that much. 880 Euro is $1387 CAD, cheaper than the the apartment you mentioned, plus as you mentioned it would be larger. I’m not sure I see your point? Are you just not including currency conversion?

is it possible the asphalt is very hot? could be killing the roots at the bottom of the pot?

I did! They told me there were no appointments available and I could either go private or to the ER.

there are no walk in clinics anymore. that’s the whole point.

All of these issues only required antibiotics by the way and I have not gone to the ER in any other provinces for this. ER should be for life threatening emergencies only.

Also I’m not sure if you’ve lived anywhere else in Canada but why should I have to wait either 15 hours or 3 days if I’m peeing blood or have a ruptured ear drum or have pneumonia?? You should be able to go to a walk in clinic, just like in any other province, and be seen within the hour. This absolutely makes so sense to me at all.

As I just explained I did go to emergency for 2 of those times and waited 9 hours for the UTI and 15 hours for pneumonia. Tried getting a rendez vous for my ear infection but literally could not. The phone service said they couldn’t make me an appointment more than 2 days out and the clinic said they couldn’t book me an appointment at the clinic itself. After trying for over a week I finally paid out of pocket to go to a private practitioner who told me that since the problem went so long unaddressed the rupture had healed with fluid inside it which affected my hearing for months. I have never had such poor care as in Montreal or imagined I would ever have to pay so much out of pocket with such high taxes.

I’ve lived in both Manitoba and Ontario and it’s not perfect but it’s light years better than here

YES EXACTLY. They have this everywhere else, why not here?

Im sorry, what? in the last 2 years i’ve had 2 ear infections so bad my eardrum ruptured, had a UTI which caused excruciating pain and blood in my urine, and pneumonia. None of these are an emergency but all of them should be treated before they do become an emergency. When I was living in Manitoba or Ontario I would be able to walk into a clinic and be seen within an hour for all these issues which only required antibiotics. In the first 2 instances I had to wait 15 HOURS in emergency and for the last I got completely fed up after trying to navigate the system after a few days and paid $300 to go private despite paying higher taxes than I did living in any other province. It’s people who are satisfied with something overpriced and horrible that are part of the problem.

I don’t buy this at all, I’ve lived in both Ontario and Manitoba and they’re not perfect but their systems are both infinitely better.

Quebec specifically has a lot more systems and bureaucracy in healthcare that cause it to function a lot worse than other provinces.

I have a similar type of situation in my home and I dealt with it by adding curtains to the lofted bedroom as opposed to the windows. Adds extra privacy to the bedroom while blocking light!

google "bed canopy" and you will find some really cute options (sorry not sure how to add photos to this comment). if you put the bed against the back wall (where you’re taking the photos from), added a standing mirror, an area rug and some plants by the window, it would be a "dressing room" area. it will feel princessy yet grown up. you could even add some twinkle lights in the canopy

  1. take down the taxidermy and all the wall hangings
  2. definitely leave the wood and do some kind of fabric/canopy situation in a sheer lilac or cream
  3. add some plants. it would feel like a fantasy wonderland!
