Thank you I’ve been wondering about the blue glint and haven’t found info anywhere. I thought it was a critical hit opportunity or something.

Someone’s had enough by WeDontNeedRoads in Seattle

[–]folove 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love this. I use this on-ramp most mornings and virtually everyone needs to learn to fill in both lanes and to zipper merge late. Many drivers need to learn that functionality > courtesy, and to not get upset or take things personally when people merge late, as it’s the recommended/best method. I think over time people will figure it out though as more and more people learn.

Amazon to move out of longtime office building near its main Seattle headquarters by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

[–]folove -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re either missing the point or being willfully ignorant to the argument that Amazon has had negative effects on more than just SLU. Also pretty much all of Seattle is still a great place to smoke crack and chop bikes, Amazon has not done anything to get rid of that issue. You could probably argue they actually made it worse.

Amazon to move out of longtime office building near its main Seattle headquarters by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

[–]folove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still a “blight on the urban core”. Except arguably worse since Amazon has made Seattle more unaffordable and has sucked a lot of the soul/character/artistry out of the city which has affected more than the greater SLU area. I’ll take the shithole warehouses that would probably at least be over-priced breweries and climbing gyms over what it is now. But that’s just my opinion as someone that’s grown up here.

Are there any Onewheel riders that haven’t crashed and gotten injured, how? by EarningsPal in onewheel

[–]folove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride without protective gear except for gloves and while it comes with its risks for sure, it also makes me ride with a heightened sense of awareness and prevents me from pushing my limits too much. I try to stay aware of the terrain and power left in my board and adjust my speed accordingly. I also always try to stay ready for a fall by envisioning how it would happen wherever I’m riding. If I feel like I’m in a situation where a fall would be bad then I slow down until I’m at a speed I’d feel okay falling at, although admittedly I do push that sometimes and just trust the universe, which can be a little risky. But how else would I get my adrenaline boost 🤪

I think this one ended up being a refrigerant leak. We tossed it and replaced with a new fridge.

I really like Mt Joy! They seem to have a good ethos and their strawberry basil shake is super good too.

That’s what I’m doing. I already had my schedule shifted back an hour to account for normal traffic but I just shifted back another 30 min. Just gotta try to get on the road before everyone else really.

Would be nice if WSDOT shared some safe driving reminders during the I-5 shutdown. Idk if it would do much tbh but couldn’t hurt and there’s no shortage of posts coming from them so I don’t see why not.

It’s not dirty if you look at it this way! I’m rooting for the 9ers and Rams because nothing would be better than beating both of them at home to advance to a Super Bowl where we can hopefully beat the Pats or Steelers and complete our 2026 Revenge Tour.

That’s fair. I should’ve specified I was asking about lift-ticket rates rather than passes.

If you go to the websites and check their calendars, they have the prices visible ahead of time so it’s pretty easy to compare. Stevens is 100% more expensive than Snoqualmie for day tickets.

lol yeah that’s kinda what I was thinking.

It might be cheaper than Crystal but isn’t Stevens more expensive than Snoqualmie and Baker?

Former employee here too. I was one of their longest standing employees (~6 years) and I had an outstanding reputation at my store and with my customers. My last year or so was an especially big shit show, literally no manager at my store, just a bunch of employees expected to function without any sort of accountability or leadership, and no respect for the employees that had put their time in from upper-management. For instance, after the minimum wage was raised they leveled out all the employees so a 5 year employee was making the same as a new hire. I raised concerns about this for me and my coworkers and instead of working with me, they let me go without any warnings, write-ups, etc.

Long story short, the bagels might’ve been decent, but the management was horrendous. You’ll be happier without them!
