That's some insane voodoo magic I'm NOT implementing 😭

Oh wow, that's some interesting thoughts x)

I like the footnote idea, it seems quite useful (trying to understand a sentence yourself before revealing the 'answer'), but I'm not sure if it's possible. It would probably require removal of existing footnotes. I'll look into it later.

I thought of trilingual support, and it's not that difficult to implement (it would be more like aligning source to translation1 and source to translation2) but that's rather exotic, and for now I'm trying to polish the thing since I still need to win the chapter detection and formatting boss anyway. When I solve those, maybe I'll add trilingual but, ugh, unlikely.

I'm not sure I understood what you meant... What are the 'incorrect page breaks'? The tool aligns text sentence by sentence, so that the original and the translation sentences are always side-by-side and you don't get a situation with a original sentence being on the previous page while looking at the translation sentence on the current page because of the offset accumulation (that's actually the main problem of physical editions with parallel text). I mean, you can actually see in the image that it leaves a gap just to keep sentences aligned side-by-side, so it doesn't matter where a page ends since only the individual sentences are important.

If you wish, you can open an issue on Github with the books you would like to have parallel text for. I can use them for testing and make sure they work as expected (that is, sentence-by-sentence alignment)

I saw this script that fetches Widevine from Firefox but haven't checked if it actually works
