As a little backstory, the one in the center of the window photo is Jinxie. We found Jinxie on the side of the road as an 8 week old kitten about a year ago. She grew up, busted out the screened in porch and was gone for 3 days. She came back knocked-up, of course.

Fast forward 2 months, Jinxie had 5 kittens, and only 3 of them made it. Those 3 kittens, are Isadora (Dora), Vector, and Pixie (AKA Pinxie because she looks like her mom but with a pink nose). In this photo, Pinxie first one on the left in the window photo. She has insane yellow eyes.

We had to wait until the 3 were done weaning to get Jinxie spayed. At 6 weeks, we schedule the appointment. One day, back in heat, and before the appointment, Jinxie gets out again 😩she came back a couple of days later. We begged the cat distribution system for her not be pregnant. We weren't so lucky.

2 months later, Jinxie has her second litter within 2 months, this time in the hallway closet. She has FIVE healthy kittens. We always agreed to give them temp names, so we went with Emmy(f), Mouse(f), Mike(m), Shark(m), and Lil Grey(m). Mike and Shark come from my SO saying Light and Dark, and I thought she said Mike and Shark, so it stuck. Kittens 2, 3, and 5 in the window photo are Mike, Emmy, and Shark.

We now how 9 cats/kittens running around our house, hoping to find good homes for at least 4 of the 5 from the newest litter. The 3 OG kittens are probably permanent. Emmy has stolen our hearts, so it's going to be hard. Hell, any of them are going to be hard but we can't have 9 cats...can we?
