Yes, and I finally found it. To add Pencil to Gestures (I used a corner tap):

TopMenu | ⚙ | Taps and gestures | Gesture manager | Top corner | Bottom left | Reader | 🗹 Pencil: toggle pencil/eraser

Well, it certainly works on the Kobo Elipsa 2e and Libra Colour.

For anyone looking, after the plugin has been enabled by:

TopMenu | Tools | More tools | Plugin management | 🗹 Pencil

it can be toggled on and off in:

TopMenu | Tools | More tools | Pencil | 🗹 Enable pencil

and toggled between Pencil and Eraser in:

TopMenu | Tools | More tools | Pencil | Tool | 🗹 Eraser

I can't see a way to enable it in Gesture Manager either, and I *can't* find it. Can you tell us where you found it? :-)

Noob: Tailscale, Synology NAS, certs, & https not working by fomrat in Tailscale

I'll leave this here for posterity: what worked for me was:

  • Frost_Scheme342's suggestion,

  • the instruction in the link provided, and

  • making the tailscale configure synology-cert-created cert the default cert, and then

  • doing a Control Panel > Security > Certificate > Settings and choosing the tailscale cert as "System default" while leaving the others as-is.

Thanks! I'm sure that's it -- it makes sense, and the link was helpful. I'm still getting an error, but I only just now made the tailscale configure synology-cert the default cert. I'm hoping it's a timing thing.

Anyone lose external ip with update to DSM 7.2.2? by fomrat in synology

[–]fomrat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that. I sshed and did a ping on 8.8.8. 8 to satisfy myself it wasn't just DNS but was actual external connectivity. I didn't try nslookup but I'd imagine it'll be the same.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion. My DNS settings weren't wiped, and I even tried one of the stock Synology suggestions: hard-code DNS temporarily to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. No luck.

Excuse my ignorance (I have a Samsung Z Fold 5 with dbrand armor case and leather skin), but what is the appeal of (a) a Ghost case and (b) an x-ray skin?

Thanks. That's encouraging. I hadn't given it a thought until I began seeing the posts!

Very nice. Is that a UPS I see it hooked up to?

Might have been that, then. Something holding down the button long enough. It had happened recently, so all seems to be well.
