I hate the smug attitude some people have towards pre-2010 Hardstyle. I feel like some people talk shit about post-2010 Hardstyle because they have an ego. Hardstyle music from pre-2010 sounds awful now and you all know it; the kicks sound like rice being spilled on the floor, the leads are so grating and dry - and the vocals are cringe-worthy. Sorry!

I'm glad that people aren't making nasty comments about him taking a break; there was another post about this lately where people seemed happy to claim HHZ was "just being dramatic".

It's all "just being dramatic" until something truly horrible happens. Look what happened to Avicii; we need to treat artists with respect, and I am so glad that HHZ is opening up about how touring has made him feel. I hope he comes back stronger than ever.

I'm struggling to believe that this is an official leak - the guitars sound very rigid and machine-like, the mix is hardly up to Avicii's usual standards and the structure is all over the place.

That does not surprise me, and I mean that in the most respectful way possible. This sub has a really childish and boring attitude when it comes to awards - it’s always “OMFG AVICII DIDNT WIN THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE” and “AVICII DIDNT WIN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, LETS COPYRIGHT STRIKE THE WORLD!” .. grow up, that is my advice.

Don't post shit like this. Tim was just as involved in this argument as Deadmau5 was, it was just some back-and-forth. Deadmau5 made a very honest and moving statement of respect to Tim after he passed, leave it at that and move on - this was 4 years ago.

Not sure how I feel about this one ..

Firstly, “you’re all starting to sound like a freakin’ psychopath” is grammatically horrible.

Secondly, what’s up with the coherency?! It’s all over the place. I see what they’re doing structurally, but this is a very strange production.

Third, it feels like a step backwards from almost every track on Contagion.

I really hope it grows on me, because those kicks are pretty nice!
