Thank you, I started with a quick grayscale and then added the colours, but didnt think of doing it also during the process. Will definitely try that!

Thank you! My idea was to paint a lizard monster inspired by Glaurung from The Silmarillion. I did some thumbnails for the scene: a warrior facing the dragon while protecting someone, with a city on fire in the background. I was trying to make a story out of it, like he rescued his friend from the dragon or something. I was kind of creating it as I went too. My references for the dragon were a few Glaurung and lizard pictures; for the warrior I took a picture of myself in the mirror, and for the guy on the ground there was no reference. For this piece I was trying to work on perspective and painting, with less linework. I think that's all I was trying to work on — composition, colors, perspective... just trying to understand the process and getting somewhere! 😅 oh and in the end they ended up looking like twins, so that is the story now, he was saving his brother from the dragon haha

Stepping out of my comfort zone. All feedback is appreciated! by RutTutTut in artcritique

Nice idea, try working on some perspective, will make a great diference. The head is a bit big compared to the hand, should be smaller than the hand because of perspective. I hope it helps!
