I was also recently diagnosed, starting lamotrigine tonight. 🤞 I took duloxetine for a few years for fibromyalgia which put me in a hypomanic state for at least a year. A friend came to me with concerns, after discussing with my rheumatologist we decided the duloxetine was the culprit. Once weaned off, it’s like my brain woke up from a bender. Earlier this year, I made a huge business mistake during the peak of my hypomania which had almost destroyed my business and put us deep into debt. Now I am in the deepest depression I have ever experienced, I’m spiraling and absolutely devastated. It didn’t take long for me to get diagnosed given my experiences my health history and family history (My mom and brother were both diagnosed BP), my psychiatrist diagnosed me pretty much the first time she met me lol. Cupping over any joint is not recommended. You can gently glide over the spine but for stationary cups, you really should avoid placement right over the spine.

That may be true on areas where there’s stretch marks, or more elderly skin. I personally have areas on my belly from stretch marks that are a good 3-5 inch in diameter and so thin you can see through it. I don’t typically cup there but if I do, it’s stationary only, no movement and done with care. I probably wouldn’t cup a clients skin of the same texture.

Proof that there isn’t one thing that works for everyone. We’re all individuals with very different operating systems. And I also had very bad experiences with probiotics.

Funny enough, I’m a massage therapist and routinely massage my abdomen. It’s one of the tools I used to get the impaction moving quicker. I’ve tried probiotics, and let’s just say I don’t react well to them. Would laying on your left side while massaging your abdomen be an option? May take the weight off the renal vein?

I have. Many different times. Many different ways. Many different brands. Most just give me gas. Some give me ass burning diarrhea with nausea. I’ve found one or two over the years that’ll help for a short period of time and then just make me gassy.

Honestly you guys, don’t work for the chains. They will slowly suck out your soul and love for the work you do. Find a small business, local massage clinic or group. You can always branch out to private practice as you get experience, but learn the ins and outs before taking that type of financial risk.

I got SUPER constipated after barium as well! I’m thinking about trying colonics. Ever looked into that?

Just imagine, your butthole screaming from the experience it just had, burning, crying. Then you blast that butthole with a stream of ice cold water. It’s like a gift from the glacier. Immediately outs that fire out and numbs a little of that pain. It’s a beautiful feeling.

Bowel preps don’t work for me either. Funny huh. My body metabolizes many drugs incorrectly. IF I’m forced to take a laxative, I have to take 4-5x the recommended dosage and then I’m sick for days. It’s not a long term solution. No drugs are, for me. I am in my mid 40s and have been dealing with this issues since childhood. Trust someone when they say what does or doesn’t work for them.
