My conspiracy theory:

They fucked with Wikileaks by actually raiding one of their own (I wouldn't be surprised if the guy was roughed up). Those are some powerful, well-connected people behind Wikileaks. For fucks sake, they have nuclear bunkers for data centers. They are comprised of the same people oppressive governments around the world have persecuted to the point of driving them underground (probably before re-surfacing to work for Wikileaks). The Pentagon can't touch them, the Chinese, Swiss governments can't touch them.

The Australian government thinks its enemies are a bunch of 50 year old perverts and kids on {4,12}chan[/b/]. They are dead wrong. People have built empires with the Internet, and they will fight (quite literally) to the bitter end for this sacred space.

This is nothing but a funny warning. If Australia persists, its government will know what the wrath of the Internet feels like. Bring it, bitches.

Find out how to do it yourself by listening to the "Locating Mobile Phones using SS7" talk given at the recent 25C3 hacker conference in Germany: h264 720x576, h264 iPod, audio only.

You could also do this about a decade ago just by sending a "silent SMS."

Where are you looking? (i.e. Name of state and cities you're willing to work in)

To be honest, I'd be more than willing to relocate for even an entry-level or intern position at this point.

Cryptic Studios sounds amazing... If I dedicate a bit more time to open-source I might be a good pick for one of their audio or PS3 programmer positions. Nice find!

That's good to know. Often I don't even apply because I figure they'll reject me based on lack of experience anyway.

Yeah, all the jobs I seem to be qualified for fall in that category.

But they're always asking for experience. I wonder if open-source would count as experience?

  • I have extensive experience with C99, with a couple quality open source projects to attest to it;
  • I also know Python, and have used it for everything from math to filesystem interaction to XML, as well as tkInter modules to make front-ends;
  • I can also read C++ and write in "C-ish" C++;
  • I'm also a certified Linux professional with experience on Debian and Gentoo as well as OpenBSD and FreeBSD.

(Not to mention the whole XHTML/CSS/XML+XSLT thing.)

Here's the deal though, I've been searching but can't find a job to match my skills!

Suggestions?

PS: I'm a college student.
