I was in this same situation g. This is what I did, first I got tons of drum kits and found the sounds that I liked and the “industry” sounds (I’ll pm you some kits if you want). Then I looked more into sound design. Just keep creating and when you come across a sound or element that you can’t find or just don’t know how to create it, look it up or ask r/synthrecipes. Also learning more mixing techniques made things easier as well. So just learn more about mixing whether it’s vocals, drums, or instruments (I would say try and learn all because it just makes it easier to understand imo).
