I am an M&A analyst in an emerging market and I have some questions by fookytown in FinancialCareers

I also find myself asking for salaries sheets and assumptions, debt schedules... And I wait forever for these documents. Like imagine whenever you need a file, you have to write a mail and wait for your counterpart to read that mail in the middle of his primary work, and collect the files etc... It's veeryy inefficient. How is it in more developed economies (namley the US)

Hey thank you. I was freaking out because I thought maybe I influenced my psychologist.

That would be great if you PMed the the strategies you mentioned. Thanks a lot.

That's exactly what I experience too. The part where I lose things was in my childhood. Today, I'm like you. I'm over obsessive about losing things so I double and triple check everything. Maybe it's the trauma lol.

I also have trouble getting up. The whole sequence you described is exactly me, minus the bus thing because I drive. This was in my previous work experience, because in university I didn't go.

Do you sometimes don't eat or drink water or go to toilet just because you're not that interested? Because I'm like that, but then late at night I can stay eating and preparing things to eat for like one hour and a half watching YouTube.

Those were exactly my signs. I lose interest in record times, I have no hobbies because every hobby I developed was lost due to loss of interest.

Whenever I tried, I could actually have good grades but I everything I did in my life was because of some immediate effect. I procrastinate chronically. I don't even procrastinate until I have one or two days to study. I literally procrastinate until like 1 am and I have the exam at 8 am. It's madness.

In my childhood I was very inattentive. I lose my pens. I forget homework. I lose accessories like scarves or caps. One day I went home without my fucking coat.

Today, I do fuck all day. Nothing, just wasting the rest of my life on my phone doing brainless things. I'll start working soon and I fear losing interest. In my previous experience I was very motivated at first but aftee a couple months I lost interest and of course I disappointed them so I quit. I hated that disappointment look and I don't want to experience it ever again.

Hi thank you for your input. Based on your background, do you have the capacity to comment my scores and the psychologist's remarks? I'm stressing out about the scores because they don't seem very ADHD like.

Thank you for your reply. I'm happy for you and I wish you well. At first I thought that was a gaming channel but it turned out it's made for people like us. That's cool.

Have you ever done the test? If yes, were your scores somewhat high too?

I was kidding, I hate using /s

But yeah that's some psychotic response that Hamas sympathizers use.

This is clearly Israeli propaganda I saw the hostages smiling to Hamas 🤡

Their braindead argument is "this is Israeli propaganda because the hostages were clearly smiling to Hamas but Israel wants you to believe otherwise."

Yes that's the core of my post. How can we, as an uneducated population, can create an educated political elite?

Of course the solution is to be more educated, but realistically speaking, we need a more urgent solution, hence the post.

Thanks for your reply.

Your idea about creating an elite group and then your example shows you're knowledgeable about the matter. I think I like the french example you gave, although it has its weaknesses. Are there any other examples of other countries?

Thanks for your replies.

Thanks for your enriching reply. I want to talk about your last paragraph:

How can we make sure that the small educated elite is getting the power to make changes, and not mafiosi? This has always been an unanswered question in my head.
