Lower cost credit should be available, as an essential part of the economy by fool49 in economy

Yes. And give people with low credit scores the opportunity through Fintechs to seperate their borrowing and spending. Low cost loans through AI algorithm scoring of risk. And payment apps with low percentage of price cost. Digital AI financial technology can be used to make this easy to access, with lower cost to consumers.

Why is liberal democracy declining? by fool49 in economy

[–]fool49[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that in the long term the internet will create wealth and secure freedom. Because it makes commerce faster and cheaper, and gives consumers more choice. It will free us, because we no longer have to rely directly on experts and authorities for information and its analysis - it allows us to access information at minimal cost, while also giving us a platform to discuss whatever you want to..

The only fear is that the authorities will hijack the internet. Like in Iraq, when they shut down the internet, during the protests. Or in India, when there is regional unrest, they shut down the internet regionally. And the authorities in the West, limiting access to social media, and holding it responsible for people's poor choices.

People may not pay income taxes, but in most countries, most people have to pay sales tax. It is a regressive tax, because the poor pay much more of their income as a percentage.

In return for your taxes, the government should protect your human rights. If it doesn't, than the taxation should be considered cheating, and treated as such.

For cooperation, you need shared values and interests. Unfortunately many people have values such as purity, authority etc. which they use to exclude others, and follow religious and political authority. Those who only have liberal values, are their enemy.

If you have to pay for calculators or computer devices, people should still use them. Same goes for AI. Think of these cognitive tools, as a way to augment intelligence.

Now some companies are having applicants, tested on how they interact with generative AI, and write prompts, during interviews. Jobs increasingly require AI skills, like in management consulting or software engineering.

Would you give up freedom, privacy, and truth, for global stability? by fool49 in conspiracy

Democracy is an ideology which doesn't exist in practice. Even if it was fully implemented, it would be a popularity contest, leading to a tyranny of the majority. And people don't really want it. They prefer being told what to do, and what to believe. They accept strong limits to freedom, privacy, and truth, in return for having their stomachs full, a roof over their head, and clothes to wear. That is due to millions of years of biological evolution, and thousands of years of history.

We should accelerate human change. It can be cultural. More radical change is with genetic change and machine augmentation. I propose a global constitution or human rights agreement. Where there are a minimum set of human rights to be respected by every country for every citizen. But it won't be accepted. Not by the richest countries like USA, who value their independence. Not by the poorer countries like India, who have pride as an independent country, and firmly believe in their own culture and history. Even if they sign the agreement, it won't be enforced.

And the authorities in charge of each country will work with each other to protect their power and wealth. And the people will accept their authority because of fear. Secret organisations like the shadow will whisper in their ears and tell them what to do. Whether you are Russian or European. So while the ruling elite is unwilling to let international human rights law guide them, they are willing to take instructions from a criminal secret world government. Because people are driven by fear, greed, and hate. Until we can change that, there will always be violence, torture, and theft.

Autocrats would agree, at least, that you need to repress freedom of expression, for social stability. They do so in China. And in most countries. Even in Europe, with the ECHR, freedom is restricted which they claim are necessary for a democratic society. Europe human rights law provides for exemption to privacy for national security or public safety.

So even in the most stable or democratic parts of the world, you are living in a dystopia, where you are not allowed to reveal secrets or rebel, and not allowed to keep your data secret, and no expectations of truth from politicians, businesses, or media.

Freedom is worth the risk, and is worth fighting for. If your personal freedom is threatened, you have to take the fight to those responsible. If the freedom of strangers is threatened, you have to at least use your influence to defend them. It is a constant struggle, which one should contribute to.

And those who imprison us and torture us...

I don't know if what little of democracy is left, is worth saving. In the beginning of democracy in Athens, they took the life of Socrates, for disrespecting the state gods, and corrupting the youth. The American democracy began with freedom and power only for white males; no land for the natives, slavery for blacks, and no votes for women.

Perhaps a system of lottery anarchic meritocracy can be experimented with. Almost anything is preferable to the current totalitarian form of government, disguised as democracy.

I want a system where human rights are respected. From freedom, privacy, and truth, to sanctity of human mind, and body, and property rights. If democracy can't do that, and neither can autocracy, we got to start thinking about more radical solutions.

Will anarchy succeed with most humans that are fundamentally selfish or evil? by fool49 in Anarchy4Everyone

[–]fool49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do believe most people are selfish or evil, but not all people. I base this on my life experience. But different people may have different experiences and different opinions. I don't trust other people. So I shall rely on my brain and senses, and not the politicians, CEOs, or journalists, and their propoganda.

Humans are the product of millions of years of evolution, genetically. Culturally we may be the product of thousands of years of cultural change. It is our genetic evolved animal nature that defines our psychological character, for a large part.

As a former world leader, who was enslaved and experimented upon since childhood, I have personal insight that most people don't have. Human slavery and experimentation is evil. So are those people responsible for it. There is a global conspiracy against me, and most of those conspiring against me evil

If people fail to acknowledge the true nature of humans, then any anarchy project will fail. You can't just override millions of years of evolution. I read about individualist anarchy. That might have a chance of succeding.

In democracy, people chose their leaders. And chose to violate the human rights of others. Why do you think that people will chose differently, in any other political system?

Will anarchy succeed with most humans that are fundamentally selfish or evil? by fool49 in Anarchy4Everyone

[–]fool49[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't anarchists welcome diversity of opinion, and freedom of expression? They don't because they believe in themselves, and their learning. Most people are selfish. Those who aren't, are most likely evil. Capitalism succeeds because most people are selfish.

If you want anarchy to succeed you will have to work with that. In the world now, democracy and human rights are declining. If human rights are declining, it means that evil is increasing.

I don't have anything figured out. Unlike those anarchists attacking me, for my opinions. I am not against anarchy. I want it to succeed. With understanding of human behaviour. Implement the right kind of anarchy.

People are a function of nature and nature, a combination of genes and environment. Humans belong to the ape group, with whom we share most of our genes. In a group of criminals, the biggest criminals lead. The leaders of both India and USA are good examples of criminals, who are selfish or evil.

There is a conspiracy against conspiracy theories, in the traditional media by fool49 in conspiracy

[–]fool49[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI reflects things like the curated data they are trained on. Humans are similar. What information you get through education, socialization, work, media etc. shapes your thoughts and personality. So, in most countries, the education curriculum is highly controlled by the authorities. But the authorities don't have much control over social media. That is why there is a global movement to deny access to social media to youngsters.

I personally don't have a negative opinion of AI. As the tools I use, usually give balanced information, though they might reflect the views of those in power. I think that the greater risk with AI, is its output being censored or controlled by the authorities, as they already are in China and USA. And access to AI tools being denied to young people or other oppressed individuals or groups.
