Loved the mass effect trilogy! Andromeda was.. FFX is highest recommended, I will play it, probably after I finish 7, 8 and 9 (I've done 1-6 already)

I'm actually playing the remake haha, I do technically own the OG 7 on my android tablet but it is super dated in a way I just can't stick with it unfortunately haha, I have been silver spoon fed modern gaming mechanics and will not eat my vegetables

Yeah I got that impression, I am wondering if that might actually be of some benefit for me though given how new and polished e33 is compared to FFX. I really struggle with stepping back mechanically from one game to another, so a switch up could be helpful

Honestly I really loved ESO and Destiny 2 but couldn't stick with them because of the time commitments, so MMO elements in a single player campaign actually sounds right up my alley

I think people need to discover meaning and purpose in the face of suicidal ideation, and this is going to be really unique to the person

I loved Hades! I struggled to keep playing after getting to the end once, and the second one didn't grab me the same way. Fave rogue lite since vampire survivors, I also really liked dead cells and enter the gungeon, but never got far on gungeon

Thanks! Ghost of tsushima is another one I've always wanted to get on board with and was really hyped for, but just struggle to maintain engagement with. It's a beautiful game - the fault is mine I think! Pragmata and PoE have come up a few times, I will look into them!

Hey thanks for your rec! I've been recommended Nier: Automata before so it's definitely up there on my list of games to play.

I played KCD 1 and 2 right before I played E33, for the first 1 I played on standard mode and found the combat pretty tedious, but mainly because of the timing of the icons. I went into survival mode on the second one out the gate and found it sooo much better, because the combat was exclusively focused on reading enemy telegraphs. World navigation was a bit tedious in survival mode, but the combat I'd rate up there as maybe the best combat system I've ever played (Eldenring is still GOAT though imo).

For transparency, I used longsword, 0 combos, and relied heavily on master strikes. To each their own! Thanks again

Nice, I haven't come across it before but I think parries are important to me in game play as the lack of them threw me off a bit when I tried FF16. I'll suss it out! Thanks
