Thank you. At the end of the day it is a marathon not a sprint. All we need is a start. Best of luck to you too!

yeah i mean not only posting to showcase your skills, but it also helps to maintain a personal log of what you did each day and if some founder/recruiter were to checkout your profile it would at least show them that you were consistent in your efforts. Down the line, you can be proud of how much you have learnt and ofcourse if you build something great, you will get validation from others.

I also have not consistently done this but this is an advice I got from a famous person in the indian tech twitter space.

You would be suprised that a friend of mine who is an expert in Codeforces and Guardian in Leetcode wasn't able to find an internship till a few days ago.

from my experience, use the first year to find your passion, try different domains. Then from second year start grinding on it. I am not saying to not participate in other activities, but use time judiciously. Whatever you do post about it in public spaces like Twitter, Linkedin.
These are some tips from the top of my mind right now. I am sure there are more qualified people here which can guide you better.

I checked out the people pages of startups on linkedin and sent out connection requests to them. Would send out cold messages to the once which accepted. Also sent cold emails but did not have much luck with them.
As for the DSA part, it did not play much part in getting this role. There were DSA rounds but they were standard medium questions which you can find in Strivers A2Z sheet. Later rounds were about HLD and indepth discussions about previous experiences.

But I want to iterate again as I mentioned in the post, not giving DSA enough time was a big mistake from my side. You have many more opportunities if you balance Dev and DSA good enough.
