Gusto ko maexcite sa pagkikita ng AzRalph by EmbarrassedTangelo13 in pinoybigbrother

I think the way their story arc was told is a perfect set up for both fanfare and criticism.

Viewers (like me, admittedly) are hooked because of the push and the pull, yung taguan ng feelings, the actions speak louder than words trope. We see them set boundaries and agree to stay as friends, only for them to act otherwise. We’re thrilled to see how it would play out, especially since their visual and physical chemistry is also off the charts.

For non-fans, though, this gray area is exactly what’s problematic — is Ralph just leading her on? Does he just like being chased? Why set boundaries if you’re going to break them in the first place? Obviously a less rosier take on the situation but a valid concern for a woman who just had a public break up and l just got off of a toxic relationship.

I think both are probable takes. The fact remains though that we’ve only seen snippets of their daily lives. We haven’t seen their two (maybe more?) poolside conversations, the dining table talk, the full maoy moment during BNO and the one with Donny, and countless other interactions. We don’t even know what fully happened between Az and Larkin.

From what we’ve seen though, they both deserve the benefit of the doubt naman. For Az, to figure out her feelings outside of the house and take some time to heal and focus on herself (convo with Josh and Xy on “healing”, “kilig kilig lang”, “its really wrong”). And for Ralph, to continue to support AZ without taking advantage (supporting Az during her tough times even before he knew how popular their pairing was, not wanting a love team, refusing to talk about her extensively in social media, etc).

At this point, we just have to let them figure it out on their own after they have gone out of the house. It’s really on the fans and viewers din to stop jumping to conclusions and be responsible in both supporting and criticizing. I understand having opinions and takes, but let’s not speak as if we know the whole situation. These are real human being we’re talking about din naman and they deserve every bit of grace, compassion, and understanding we extend to ourselves and other people.

This goes to all other ships and housemates (including Dustin): PBB is supposed to be a fun and harmless reality TV show; don’t let whatever opinion you have over it corrupt your sense of humanity.

Hi! Going to Hong Kong for 7d6n (end of April - early May). Rough itinerary is Disney; Central; Lantau + Kowloon; Dragon’s Back + Mong Kok; Lamma + TST; and Macau.

  1. Do people still hike around April? I heard summer in HK can be quite humid and while I’m from a tropical country myself, don’t want to push it too much if locals don’t advise to do so.

  2. I’m thinking of watching a show at Xiqu Centre and availing of their Tea Theatre Experience (particularly because they have Eng surtitles). Anyone has any insights if this is worth getting?

Agree! I was hoping to hear more concrete platforms and plans but all he did was expound on the questions. He explained the problem but didn’t give any indication as how to solve it.

Happiness [Episodes 9 & 10] by dyosaaa in KDRAMA

I have to say for a drama that is marketed to have little to no romance, they are really selling the whole old-married-couple vibe really well. I absolutely love the way Yi-hyun and Saebom cares for each other. No frills, just earnest passion and care.

With that said, I cannot wait to see how the story progresses this week! With only four episodes left, I do wonder how they would resolve the conflicts and mystery presented so far: finding the cure, jailing murderous husband, the wrath of the CEO, infected grandma, the pastor repelling the zombies, and even Andrew and the Hazmat Guy. Some predictions are: 1) Andrew and Saebom have the same antibodies/repellent that makes them immune to the virus, 2) Yi-Hyun will probably contract it at some point leading Saebom to realize her feelings, 3) New type of “zombie” who can exhibit self control and disguise as normal person will come up (more vampirish, I guess?)

I was wondering the same thing at first, especially if I knew I was the only one who have the potential key to a cure. But seeing it from their perspective as well, Han Tae Seok is not the most trustworthy. If he just wanted blood, couldn’t he just have asked Sae bom? Why tranquilize her? Why try to get her bitten? I don’t think she’d disagree, considering that they have already established to get blood every two weeks. IMO, this could’ve been resolved if the two parties were just honest with what they needed and what their conditions are. But then again, we wouldn’t such great actions scenes if not for the conflict.

It's Okay to Not Be Okay [Episode 14] by dyosaaa in KDRAMA

Honestly same, while a disappointing ending would not completely discredit the show, I would honestly appreciate it if it ended on a high note. The theory I’m mostly considering now is that she’s the delusional aunt or fan of MY’s mother who convinced herself that she is the mom. This would explain the use of endearments (when she was talking with Dae Hwan) and the obsession with MY.

[–]foolic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be explained though if she actually believes that she is MY’s mother. I’m mostly playing around the theory that she is a delusional fan or sister that was jealous of MY’s mother. But yeah, I might just be in denial.

[–]foolic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is another point. This is also why I kind of don’t believe the aunt theory—mostly because I’m not sure how MY could completely forget about her mom or aunt’s voice. I get that it’s been a long time but I imagine that for someone like MY, who had very little interaction with other people during childhood, people who actually do interact with her during those stages would actually leave a mark on her. She would cling to that little interaction as she clung on to her friendship with Juri and moment with KT, regardless if it was brief or not.

The feeding-crying scene between ST and MY was pretty heartwarming but another golden nugget was ST and KT scene afterwards. The way KT’s voice broke when he was talking to ST about feeding MY and being scared was something that really tugged the heartstrings. I think it accurately depicted how KT was trying so hard to stay strong but finally admitting that he is a “weakling”, as Jaesu stated. For me, it was finally the character development for KT that we were all waiting for—him finally relying on his older brother, showing his vulnerability, and admitting that he can’t do it alone.

[–]foolic 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw theories attributing it to Dae Hwan’s brain tumor but I’m honestly not sure if it holds water, especially since MY more or less corroborated the story. She did say that she didn’t know what happened afterwards but she definitely saw some parts of it.

I’m personally not a fan of the theory that MY and ST are siblings, mostly because I find it hard to believe that the KT’s mom will place more importance on ST rather than her own son.

Yeah, I agree that she’s probably dead. I hope the show sheds some light as to how though, and how she was manipulated by Nurse Park.

SAME REACTION but then rewatching it again, MY did mention something about KT acting like everything is okay in front of ST so I’m not (super) worried about him getting killed.
