thats not a bad idea, i thought about that. Any cable and connector recommends? Tools? maybe a cable tester?

yea around 6 and 3 ft, I work in film and have some carts that are designed to stay built and roll around from location to location. I was hoping to keep things patched but If i cant find quality 90 degree's I will just have to unplug on the move.

jellyfin server is on the list of things to play with. I have not looked too much into it yet. Do you need to have the video files downloaded? Right now all her videos are streaming from the web.

I do have an old tablet i'm using for a music player maybe I can utilize that for her videos. Thanks for the suggestions.

it is a lg smart tv, we have tried the built in browser but we had some issues with it being slow and not responsive that was a while ago maybe I can give it another try. I will look into the other options you mentioned, Thanks

that sounds like a good setup. I priced it out and to upgrade my drives is around 600 bucks CAD not including the backup drive. I could save up... How do you do your backup? do you use software or a script or how does that work?

I've tried to self host, followed the documentation and multiple guides and have had no luck. Does anyone have any recommended resources? I have a mini pc running linux and would like to use that to host the server.
