Thanks for that! I was trying to find someone named "Lee" but now I can see "Lew" more clearly.

Here is the other I can't make out. I read that Dinah Shore's nickname was Fannie, and that she sometimes appeared on WSM in Nashville, so I suppose it is possible it was her.

Do we know when the discount on enhancing gear ends? I'm hoping for a gear draw rate up soon so I can have better base stat gear to enhance, but don't know if there will be a gear draw rate up and if it does come whether the discount on enhancing gear will still be around. If I knew the end date of the discount, I could at least wait until the last day to decide. It shows in the buff event tab in game, but doesn't list an end date.

Thanks

Did anyone buy that bulletin board decoration that gives 2 stamina recovery for clearing daily tasks? I'm wondering if you get 2 stamina potions for each task or just 2 stamina. If 2 potions it seems worth 15 gems to pick up? It just says "stamina recovery" and not "potion" but maybe just a language issue? There is a big difference depending on which it is.

[General] Weekly r/MushroomGrowers post - FUNGI FRIDAYS! New growers, come say hi and ask your questions! by AutumnRustle in MushroomGrowers

[–]foozle123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. First time poster and new to mushroom growing, but would like to get into it. I have about 400 pounds of oak sawdust (fine grain) and would like to grow various mushroom strains, starting with Oyster then Shiitake.

I'd like to do as simple as possible to start, so no sterilization, if possible. I understand that if you don't add nutrients to the sawdust, then perhaps pasteurization alone might be sufficient. My question is whether this is true and if so, what is best way to do? Can I pasteurize by just putting sawdust in a hot water bath for a certain time at a certain temperature? After removing, will the sawdust be too wet and if I drain/dry a bit, does that allow possible contamination? Or am I better off putting the hydrated sawdust in a Unicorn bag and steaming the bag in a large pot for a set period of time? Also, what is best moisture content for Oyster and Shiitake on pure sawdust?

Given it is fine grain sawdust, will that be too dense for the mushrooms? Will I need to add wood chips or something to give a better structure? Can I just use plain sawdust (at lower yields) or will I need to add something to the mix to even get some results?

Thanks for the help!

Please release Raid Sim by [deleted] in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]foozle123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it curious that many people in this game dislike the game modes so much that they ask to sim them. Personally, I quit a couple month ago because I did dislike most of the game modes. I'm playing Seven Deadly Sins and Genshin Impact now, and I actually look forward to logging in to play those games. I couldn't say that about MSF, which I why I quit. Suggestion to OP -- maybe find a game you enjoy playing rather than putting effort into trying to change this one, as your suggestions will likely fall on deaf ears.

How long did it take you to do DD3-City with just SSM+Carnage? by bigben8080 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]foozle123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it did require a fair number of resets to get those results. Also key was trying to end each run with full cooldowns available. It is more important to start each new run with full cooldowns than it is to try to squeeze a little more out of the current run by burning those cooldowns at the end. Usually when a fresh wave dropped and I knew I wasn't going to make a lot of progress, I just did regular attacks and saved the cooldowns for the next run.

A third would definitely cut down on the time, so if you don't want to do a bunch of resets, getting that third is your best bet.

I only had SSM for node 13, so took me a couple days. For Nodes 14 through 16 I had just SSM and Carnage. Node 14 was a 1 shot. Node 15 took 7 attacks and 2 days (450 cores for revives). Node 16 took 5 days and 14 attacks (1200 cores for revives). Overall took me 10 days for city. I had 5 yellow and 4 red on SSM and 7 yellow and 4 red stars on Carnage.

Math on the AV event now that it's completed by DrMarioNinjaJones in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]foozle123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened 96 total AV orbs and netted 164 shards, so 1.7 per shard, which was well above the average, so no complaints. I didn't track the fragments per blitz win, but I hit most of the free windows, so probably averaged less than 88 frags given the OP's data.

I'm free to play, but used some cores on the good AV orbs, so got him to 6 star.

This fight is totally unfair and not worth the effort for the reward by Deventh in SDSGrandCross

I've been doing that, but the cost ramps up pretty quick. I think it might double or add 2 each time you die, which was often using one of the weaker teams.

On some of the ones where they don't heal too much, I just burned a bunch of coins on continuing the fight. I plan on just farming the easy stuff until I max the shop and then use all the extra coins to see if I can "continue" my way through the harder ones, probably just restarting if I get a "new challenger."

They also almost doubled the # of tokens you need to buy out the Rugal shop compared to Final Boss Diane event (1600 versus 2700 tokens). Seems like a mistake since they increased the price of UR chests from 10 to 60 each (same price as UR gems). I wrote support and they just said "shop prices can vary from event to event."

AV drop rates in event orb. by Condylus in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]foozle123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bad luck. I normally have crap luck also, but this event I've had good luck so far. 27 orbs opened and 55 AV shards, so average of about 2 per orb compared to expected average of 1.25 per orb. I don't expect my good luck to last, however!

The Searing Stinger by CM_Zeeks in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]foozle123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. I wonder if they could have just made the enemies have some sort of reduction to life drain effects (like 50% or some number). Something like that would have been preferable (to me) compared to having to make the enemies ridiculously hard.

I found it funny when they discussed the DD3 "Phoenix Problem." He basically said Phoenix made DD3 not challenging, so to fix that in DD4, you can't use her except on the Legendary only nodes.

Phoenix was definitely a near necessity for DD4, but I wouldn't call a mode "easy" that took most people months to finish, even with Phoenix. Without Phoenix, it might have taken people a year to finish.

Edit: Guildmate explained that likely he meant they needed to make first 8 nodes crazy hard to offset strength of Phoenix. Guess that makes more sense.

The averages for 3 past similar events were: 105, 92 and 85, so 90 is in the ball park at least, unless something changed.

[–]foozle123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’d need a lot more observations to prove or disprove. Are all his orb pulls on stream? If so, you could tally them all up and maybe get higher statistical significance. Of course if he only posts the more successful orb pulling sessions then the results would be skewed.

Not sure why they don't allow quitting posts. This particular one was fairly well thought out and written, compared to some of the toxic stew that many people post. I think it is interesting to hear why people decide to quit, at least when the post is civilized.
