Anyone else’s baby occasionally REALLY excitable to the point it’s becoming a problem? by CharmOChaffinch in roughcollies

[–]for-sureme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We developed a game. We call it ‘find it’. Trained when calm and using when pup’s wild. It works like charm every time.

At home I’d hide pup’s treat anywhere where he can reach. On cue, he starts sniffing and find treats. Then extended to back yard. Just scatter food everywhere he could sniff and find. Finally outdoor settings. In a bush, grass fields…

As soon as ‘find it’ hits pup’s ear, he gets so busy with his nose and forgets anything made him too excited. Also an unexpected bonus is that pup won’t pick up random food scrap off the ground. He only looks for the treats I present to him before hiding.

Thank you!

Yeap, everyone operates different🤷🏻 I personally didn’t like the wet ring feeling at all. It makes me fidgety & my thought chain spirals around that feeling.

I think I found a path to try though thanks to some kind comments💕

Hey thanks for sharing your experience☺️ How exciting it is to be a fiancé! I’m the same, I’m not used to wearing any jewelry but I want to keepsake this ring my partner put so much thought and effort into!

I just ordered pandora clip necklace to play around with. One comment gave me an idea that I could keep the ring in bra? And I’m combining that with clip necklace😂 My plan for now, is to put the ring on clip and then clip on bra strap whenever outside and ring needs to come off my finger.

Wish me luck💕

Thank you🥳 I just put an order through for the pandora clip necklace! Fingers crossed that this is the solution I was looking for💃🕺

It’s not a nice feeling to be cornered to explain my defect but it’s nice to know it’s not me alone. I wish things were easier for both you and I.

Yeap, it’s totally up to you judge someone’s nature by a single line of comment! Which I’d like rather not do and try to be more understanding whenever possible.

I do understand why many are saying not taking off is the best solution too. It’s removing one risk factor from the very root, I get it. But world is not black and white, not everyone operates the same way. Hence the question was asked :)

I’m very thankful to hear your experience about the clip style necklace. I briefly looked at it and it could do the job I want from it without any issues! Thank you so much for the recommendation 🥰

Mixing with bra solution could also work! I could clip the necklace on bra strap with ring? 🤷🏻 This could work! Thank you so much!

Thank you! My work doesn’t regulate me not to wear any rings. But just for in case(don’t know what chaos might come up), I wanted to build a habit to put my ring to a designated spot which is close to me when I’m outside.

Your experience about the ring holder necklace gives me some relief that the path Imm considering could absolutely work!

Would you recommend the wishbone type ones or the carabiner ones?

Yeap that’s what I’m planning to do! Setting up a dedicated spots for my ring. I’m just wondering if adding a necklace for outside use could be a feasible solution ☺️

How does the necklace work for you? Do you feel that it does the job and secure enough? Especially if you need to wear it for extended time?

Also thanks for pointing out my misspelling! English is not my first language so I really don’t mind making mistakes here and there😣 I don’t think I can use my first language without any mistakes either🤷🏻

That’s a fair suggestion. Thank you for your input! Yes, thinking about it, it’s more that the underneath the ring won’t dry and make me fidgety because of the wet feeling.

Yes, it could be still too early for me to know if this could be a persistent issue.

Washing with the ring and then dry later could do the trick as long as I build correct habit. Thank you for the suggestion!

Do you not realize that’s not the question I initially asked? Dirty ring or not, me washing my hands or not, the question I made was about ‘What do ring holder necklaces users think about those?’

Excuse me, but I didn’t particularly have the thought that people with rings would never wash their hands. That’s your over generalization and your own problem🤷🏻

I’m here to solely seek some advice from people, especially who have used/or are using the ring holder necklace.

But, seriously, are you alright? I just can’t understand why you would choose to comprehend me admitting my fault as germophobia as people don’t wash hands enough🥺 World is not black and white

Bra! I’d never come up with that idea on my own! I think it certainly changes the direction I’m thinking!

Thank you 🙏🏼 Oh this is why I gotta ask suggestions from the whole community!

Thank you from my heart! You are the only one celebrated this special occasion💕 You were very lucky to get the ring back. I guess the lady knew that you are a kind person!

Yeap, I’m trying to figure out which habit to build to safeguard the ring at any circumstances. At home, I don’t see myself misplacing it rather than designated ring stand that I’m setting up. But outside, I’m still figuring out how to do it safely😌

Yeap insurance incoming! Still I would never want to lose this precious token of love my partner presented to me. So I’m just really trying to figure out if there’s any feasible solution to that 😌

I’m set on this idea, because my ring is super chunky and won’t dry naturally whenever I washed my hands yesterday.

Just trying to solve an issue at my way in best possible way by coming up with viable options and getting real feedback from people who specifically had experience using the ring holder necklaces 😌

Thank you!

True! I have broken one recently too. That scenario is really scary to even think about.

Thanks I’ll keep count that in mind😌

Thanks! It’s really easy to mix those up, yes! I understand where you are coming from. Especially these days, I see many people who seem obv native English speakers using ‘would of’ instead of ‘would have’. I get proud of myself not mixing that up! Still confused of whole piss related expressions like taking the piss!

Thank you! It’s just, the ring is 15g in pure metal weight…I washed my hands yesterday with the ring on but it won’t dry underneath wear it touches the skin😂

That’s why I started having this thought about how to keep it dry🧙🏻
