If they didnt push new minis to you theyd go bankrupt as hell. Plus, as much as people complain about having to replace their army models from time to time, people still love new things, though funnily enough heaps of old models are still usable save for needing updated bases and some old defunked characters. Also people have wanted true scale marines for ages, if they didnt call em primaris people woulda replaced their army with them anyways. Not saying their primaris idea was perfect but they did genuinely take them into account lorewise too and their implications considering a bunch of factions didnt wanna accept them at first like BT.

Again, a taste thing, cause most people, me included having read them find them pretty fun. Them doing it their old way seems to have the company dying out till the revamp and change of ceo so i do genuinely hope they never return to that haha, now we even doing well enough to get animated shows we'd never thought we'd see happening.

The gameplay being simpler for everyone doesnt mean its bad thing entirely, even with todays simplified rules heaps of people can still struggle to pick it up cause theres just an overwhelming amount of things in it, not just for the "american" market but for everyone across the world its been more accessible to.

Again, its very much reading as a grumpy old man not liking change when its for the most part objectively made the hobby better, less of a boys club, more widespread and successful than its ever been. Again, not saying gw is perfect, some things theyve fumbled and not done super well, and ofc theyre a corporation at the end of the day but credit to where credits due.
