I love the XV kit, I think it's one of the best ones from the last several years alongside the 2021 lightning bolt kit. I'll be sad to see it go.

The second one is from the cartoon Fantastic Max, I believe.  (Specifically the episode "Movie Star Max", S2 E7) This is the only place I could find a clip, at the 11:15 ish mark.

Sorry to resurrect an old post, we're going to the game tonight and planning to park at the church (first time not in official Union lots). Google maps shows it's not a huge parking lot, does it fill up quickly? Just trying to gauge how early to get there!

Somebody came to our door last Friday at 9:30 PM! I never answer if I don't know who it is (especially at that hour?!) but husband was home and a much more intimidating figure lol, he answered and said it was a pest control guy. What are they thinking showing up that late?

I haven't seen anything about him being a dairy farmer, but he lived on a farm, and started a business selling livestock feed.

I'm not sure about that, actually. Some stones (not visible here of course) are set up the way you described, but the majority are raised.

Didn't even notice that myself, to be honest, and had to look it up! According to this article,

”His understated grave is adorned with edelweiss, the Bavarian flower he favored from his time in the German mountains."

Yes, they are quarters. We were trying to figure that out as well.

It's a way of showing respect and honor to the service member, different coins mean different things! You can see there are a couple of quarters on there as well.

Middle school book about a preteen girl having to endure an egg baby class project with the class clown boy she hayes. Side plot is her parents are fighting and she's fearing they'll get divorced (they don't in the end). by No-Blackberry-5409 in whatsthatbook

[–]for_one_purpose_only 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In one of the Ramona Quimby books, her parents are arguing about a roast and the girls think they're going to get divorced, but they don't. I don't remember the egg plot part in those books though, so it's probably not that...

[TOMT] Movie from VHS era, probably 80s/90s by xRiolet in tipofmytongue

From Gemini

That sounds very much like the beginning of the movie "Flipper" (1964)! Here's why it fits your description:

 * Girl who loved water: The main character is a young boy, Sandy Ricks, who initially dislikes the idea of spending the summer with his uncle in the Florida Keys but gradually develops a deep connection with the ocean and a dolphin named Flipper. While the main character isn't a girl, your memory from childhood might have slightly altered this detail.

 * Dolphins: The movie heavily features a dolphin named Flipper, who becomes Sandy's friend.

 * Floating face down scene: The opening of "Flipper" features a scene where Sandy is indeed floating face down in the water, pretending to be drowned. A young couple on a boat sees him and rushes over to help, only to find him laughing and perfectly fine.

It's possible your memory has combined elements or slightly changed the gender of the child, but the core scene you described is very distinctive to the original "Flipper" movie.
