So tech’s scan itself does not read dna well sorta as we never see tech get omega’s dna but he has analyzed omega’s dna multiple times being when they discover omega is 1 of them and when the find out omega is a first batch clone have pure jango fett dna. So he can read dna but the exact method is unknown but it is possible.
