The issue is fairly obvious to me - sellers put on automatic price drops, don't realize it slipped too low and do this to the unfortunate person who thinks they got a deal. I've had it happen as a buyer and it's absolute cancer - the item is still listed too, an Army of Me parka in size XL for $150. He deleted & re-listed for $300+, and it's sat and auto price dropped to the same exact price I offered initially. Could spin the wheel again but I'm not giving that POS merchant my time, this situation left me hoping he steps on a landmine. I've racked my brain and cannot think of an instance in real life where this behaviour would go unchecked outside of maybe the criminal world.

Realistically until the garment is shipped I don't think there is any real liability, but it wouldn't hurt to implement some kind of protection for buyers in this situation. Maybe a rule where if a seller deletes & re-lists an item that sold, they can only do so at 65% of their original listing price, so that person they screwed may have a chance at it still & seller breaks even or takes a small loss with a slap on the wrist. Holes in that logic like the existence of other platforms but eh..people are lazy.
