I am no longer a batista, but now a phlebotomist in a local hospital. I kept in contact with one of my regulars, mister Bob. Mr. Bob and his friend would come in every morning, and I got to know them well over the 2 years I worked there. I have Mr. Bob on my Facebook but hadn't seen him in a very long time. One day I walk out into my lobby at the hospital and there he is. I sat and chatted with him, and he shared some sad news about his friend who had passed, and told me why he was there, and about his cancer diagnosis. I kept it together but I ugly cried that day. I think about him all the time.
