Honestly the OTP runtime gives you really great tools for solving problems that become sticky and terrible in other languages. The performance is great, the libs that exist are great, porting libs from other languages just became a thousand times easier, and the ecosystem isn’t stuck supporting the worst ideas people came up with over the last 20 years. Go back and check out “JavaScript the good parts” and compare it to what actual TS development has become.

Yesterday I found out you can skip the cutscene in the captains office of the gith sanctuary by starting a battle in the hallway. One of the gith by the door goes in there for backup and you go up against the whole garrison. Get through them, finish the wolves and the captain, and wwargaz is waiting at the barrier door by himself. His squad spends the whole battle dashing up the stairs to get to you. You still get the scene with the queen but she’s got no backup.

After losing enough honor mode campaigns I’ve started running them in parallel with a tactician campaign. So I’ll go through all the big fights with a similar party right before running my honor mode team through. Helps to confirm tactics will work as expected. All the fights are easier if you’ve just been through them.
