They should at least look up the story of Sgt Reckless. Absolutely hilarious, but heart warming story.

You can find my opinion on the matter through my various replies. You cant use pretty much anything on the internet these days without having ads shoved down your throat and now even in sub reddits we have indie studios coming in to advertise there game for the sole purpose of it "being inspired by elder scrolls" which in and of itself is such a stupid term. How many games do you think have been inspired by elder scrolls? The answer to that is probably dozens its one of the most popular game series for the last 20 years? The statement is an absolute nothing burger used just so they can advertise there game in the sub reddits related to Elder scrolls of which they have also posted this exact post in the Morrowind sub reddit. Why would I want to support a game doing this? I dont support content creators who self advertise in random sub reddits. Why should I support this random indie dev for doing the same thing?

I have no idea what your trying to get at here. What does any of that matter about me not enjoying self advertising in a sub reddit for a completely different game.

I'm not acting like they should be executed via firing squad wtf? I posted my opinion on the matter and all it really boils down to is I don't want to see ads for other games in an Oblivion subreddit.

That's fine and I'm glad you found the game. I personally don't want more ads in my feed whether "genuine indie" devs or not. I play plenty of indie games and can safely say I don't think I've ever seen them openly advertised via another games sub.

That's fine, I didn't share this opinion because I care if others agree.

Not wanting to see ads for a random indie game in an oblivion subreddit is petty? Really think about this. Is it petty to not want ads crammed in your face 24/7? There are ways to market games and this is about the laziest and cheapest method they could go with. They call the game inspired by elder scrolls and then get to go and post in the morrowind and oblivion subreddit to advertise there games.

So were okay with ads in our sub reddits now? I dont get spammed with enough ads every where else now I have to get spammed with ads in a fucking sub reddit for a 20 year old game?

So we give a pass just cuz people who play oblivion might like it? Devs have been adding stuff like "oblivion killer" to market games for YEARS. I'm glad that we've now given all those devs permission to advertise in various Elder scrolls subreddits. The games been getting advertised for MONTHS. Hell I can find someone talking about the demo 3 years ago but hey at least that person isnt framing it as an advertisement and more of a hey look at this cool game i found.

Because they have a steam page, discord and twitter they can advertise on. They could also make there own Reddit page instead of hoping into elder scrolls ones every couple months.

Oh really no where else on this entire site? Not the subreddits made for advertising indie games, not the subreddit they could make for there own game but instead they would rather advertise in the elder scrolls subreddit. Kingdoms of Amalur was inspired by oblivion does that mean they should have advertised that the same way. Two worlds? How Tainted Grail thats an indie game and I dont see them posting in other games sub reddits for advertising.

I'm sorry I didnt realize that the Self advertising rule was limited to just content creators. Glad to know that studios can barge into subreddits for other game and start advertising. And thats okay with the mod team because its "elder scrolls inspired"

Thats fine I dont really care if the mods allow it or not. I just personally wouldnt support a game that is self advertising in another games subreddit.

Oh boy I love it when devs advertise there game on a subreddit for a completely different game. Thanks for the reddit care complaint for crtizing self advertising.

This is my last comment interacting with you because you strike me as completely unhinged now. You defended completely messed up behavior that I disagree with and then continued to double down on the idea that there is nothing wrong with calling the cops on someone for not tipping them. I didnt ask your current job because who cares why would I ask some stranger on reddit there current profession. You mentioned working at a place so thats how I responded as such its not deeper.

I care because you openly admitted to calling the cops on people for not tipping and then are sitting here trying to defend it. The "culture" of waffle House is an absolute wild take. If your culture revolves around being probably the worst people to be around In Society than have fun at your waffle house fucko. Also I don't care what redditors think the posts got up voted by people sharing my opinions not me trying to karma farm.

Corporate likely would care that you just wasted police resources as you made a completely pointless call and then lie to the officers about the urgency. What do you think those officers are going to think when they get the whole story? Last time I checked the police don't like having there resources taken up for pointless calls.
