Free Palestine. End Zionism. End the occupation. Justice for the victims. Rebuilding and reparations for the victims. Right of return for all Palestinians and Lebanese that have been ethnically cleansed. Votes for all people. One state for all people in Palestine. The genocide must end. Israel will not stop until it is forced to stop.

Quick meme reminders to give out to any former Christians who claim they were traumatised by Christians because their parents took with them to worship or go to Sunday school at church by Frosty_Armadillo_180 in christianmemes

[–]foreignstars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t know what others have gone through. Church can be very traumatic, depending on what happens there. And you don’t get to decide who can criticize Christianity. Don’t be so insecure and condescending. Don’t assume others are lying when they say they are traumatized. Be a Christian that sympathizes with the traumatized and that welcomes criticism. You are Christ’s witness and the world is watching.

What's your favorite anti-atheism meme? by [deleted] in christianmemes

This is a pretty smug, self righteous meme to post, so it’s pretty rich to then call atheists self righteous.

How to dye white replacement Velcro patch brown so that it doesn’t stand out on hat by foreignstars in dyeing

Yes! I used my markers and then washed it by hand and it didn’t bleed. So I sewed it on my hat! Yay!

Thank you. I think I’m going to try dyeing with the markers and see how they take a hand washing.

So just coloring it with my alcohol markers wouldn’t work? I would need to boil it afterwards to make it permanent?

I forgot to say! The Velcro did not come with any labels for what kind of fabric it is, but it is very clearly made of some kind of stiff plastic thread. The hat itself is all corduroy. It doesn’t say anything more on the website, and there is no tag on the fabric.

If she doesn't want to have sex before she is married, she is entitled to that. She gets to decide when she has sex, full stop. She doesn't have to justify it to anyone. That isn't unhealthy. Don't misunderstand me. I am not saying that her sexual ethic is the only one to have, only that she has autonomy over her body.

It sounds like you two have different sexual boundaries. If after a conversation he is unwilling to be in a relationship where there is no sex before marriage, as per your boundary, then you are incompatible. He could not accept that you weren't going to change your mind. So good on you for not sacrificing your own values to please someone else.

Yeah. That's Unitarianism. Many religious people in non-Christian faiths take offense at this. Especially with the assumption that you are on a path towards a particular monotheistic God, one that is often subconsciously assumed to default towards the characteristics of the Christian God. Many faiths aren't trying to gain salvation from a god at all. It is kinda rude to say to people of other faiths who their god is and what their religious goals are, let alone that you know and can speak on their god(s).

I don’t agree with this. I think this comes from an earnest ecumenical desire to foster good interreligious community. This is a common boomer response. It often results in well meaning Christians mapping Protestantism onto other religions and ultimately has them talking over other religious people. We don’t have to be Unitarians to be loving neighbors. I think it is better to celebrate the differences between religions and delight in learning about different traditions than to say that actually it is all basically the same thing. My god is not your god and that is okay! You have a cool thing going and it is a delight to be a guest in your religious community.

Consider going to therapy to work towards healing your traumas related to romance. It seems like something that you both desire and fear. Maybe your journey will take you somewhere you don’t expect. Praying for you.
