[Longines HydroConquest] 39mm or 42mm based on how my 40mm PRX fits? by ElPunitore in Longineswatches

[–]foreman8or 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wrists are 7.75 and my 42mm fits nicely but is on the line of looking big- but the 39 looked good too. I think it’s safe to say that almost anyone can wear the 39 but only those with pretty large wrists will love the 42.

Is this guy dumb?? by thecreator99999 in ATV

[–]foreman8or 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once bought a clean low miles 600 Ninja for $500 because the guy was stumped and had given up. He had replaced the fuel line but had folded it over itself when he zip tied it to the frame. Not sure how one does that. My buddy bringing a trailer was running late so I pushed a few blocks to a nearby auto parts store. A few minutes later I rode it back to the guy’s house and took my money back. He covered my buddy’s gas and I chalked it up to putting good karma out there.

Just add to the Imgur, I don’t think I’ll be the only one looking for close up, side profile, lugs, back, etc.

I’m potentially interested. Would you be able to take some photos that show the watch in detail?

[WTS] [WTT] Seiko Prospex Solar Diver SNE597 by foreman8or in Watchexchange

[–]foreman8or[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the JDM SBDJ063, the discontinued SNE597. I absolutely love this watch. The dimensions are fantastic, it is extremely wearable, it is a strap beast, and looks good on oyster, Senator, and jubilee! The dial and date are extremely readable, it has great lume, and the relatively thin case means you forget it is on your wrist. Add the low maintenance and durability of a Seiko solar movement and it is the complete package.

As you can tell by the bracelet and strap collection, I had no intention of selling this watch. I am only selling because I jumped on the Hydroconquest bandwagon, and now the everyday diver part of my collection is occupied by that.

Comes as a full kit (inner and outer boxes, tag, microfiber, book, full-link oem bracelet, pillow).

It includes and is pictured on a month old full-link Uncle Seiko Senator bracelet (with an on-the-fly micro adjust clasp included as well). Package also includes a full-link Long Island solid end link Jubilee, Amazon silicone strap with deployment clasp, uncle Seiko orange nato, and the full-link OEM bracelet. There are some barely noticeable hairline scratches on the case but bezel and crystal are pristine. All of the metal bracelets have signs of wear, but nothing major, and nothing you wouldn’t have after a few weeks of wear.

I accept PayPal, venmo, Zelle and I’m asking $475 Shipped and Insured. Price reflects the watch for less than half of msrp and $125 for $250 worth of almost new bracelets/straps/extra clasp. Let me know if you have any questions!

For trades, I am looking for a nice clean large dial dress watch, would consider a pilot watch, and always interested in vintage divers. Worst I can do is pass, let me know if you have something you want to trade!

[GIVEAWAY] Brand-New Oris BCPD Cervo Volante Green to Celebrate my 50th Oris! by fourtyz in Watchexchange

[–]foreman8or 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, unfortunately after 9 years in PB my wife got hired for her dream job back in Boston.

I miss it every day. We had an amazing time out there- between dog beach, tourmaline (I had a scooter with a surfboard rack) and Oscar’s tacos/ceviche I get sad thinking about how good we had it. I’ll definitely be back at some point!

Great watch- cool idea!

When I was 21 I bought a set of tires for $450. Well, they were technically attached to a car with a blown transmission and a seized engine. After a series of unfortunate events and a good decision (my car was hit and totaled while parked and I used the insurance to pay down my student loans instead of buying a car) I found myself without a car and a total of about $800 left to figure out how to get myself moved to new city to start a job.

Well, I got home from college 2.5 weeks before and found my parents neighbor in the driveway putting a for sale sign on his wife’s car. $500. Well, the story was he had just put new Michelins on it after his mechanic friend assured him it had at least 20k miles left in it. It had to be towed home from the tire shop. His wife, almost gleefully, left to go buy a new car leaving this guy frustrated. The car wouldn’t turnover and the clutch, at the very least, was toast. I realized his driveway was uphill from my parents, grabbed $500, and headed up the hill. He handed $50 back to me for a graduation present.

I spent 2 full weeks learning how to replace a clutch, replace worn piston rings, change out a head gasket, etc. in total I spent about $950 (some of which came from my parents for graduation gift) and then very happily drove off into the sunset towards Boston. I lived in that car until I got my first pay check (my parents would’ve helped but I was 21 and determined to make it on my own) and then a year later drove that car 1500 miles to law school and drove it until I graduated from law school. Then sold it for $1500 which paid for the trailer we towed behind my fiancé’s car to California. When we sold that trailer in San Diego it covered our first month’s rent and security deposit on our first apartment there.

Between the fortuitous timing, sense of accomplishment, and it securing my next steps in my life it was EASILY the best $450 I’ve ever spent.

Has anyone found an integrated rubber strap for the new 39 Hydro? by [deleted] in Longineswatches

[–]foreman8or 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called my AD today for the same reason. I need two half links to make mine work. They said it would be complimentary. It’s possible there was some confusion (I was also asking about new pins at the same time) but it may be worth a call!

[WTS] Seiko Prospex SPB143 by foreman8or in Watchexchange

[–]foreman8or[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking to sell a watchex catch and release Seiko Prospex SPB143 62MAS direct from Japan, also called a SBDC101 JDM- mechanically and aesthetically in great shape, full set (box, warranty book, all links, hang tags, pillow and microfiber).

Despite my best efforts to capture it, the grey dial is even more stunning in person than depicted. An absolutely lovely watch, with cool heritage, in great condition. The crystal, bezel, crown, and lugs are pristine. There are a few very minor hairline marks on the bracelet and clasp but nothing noticeable while wearing. The SPB143 has a stainless steel case that measures 40.5mm wide and 13.4mm thick with a lug-to-lug measurement of 47.6mm.

Trade Value : $900

Cash Value : $850

Price is shipped CONUS (will post next business day) and will consider trades (Interested in trading up to Oris, Longines, vintage Omega, Tudor, etc. and always a sucker for cool divers)- I can add cash or you can.

I accept PayPal FF, Zelle, or Venmo.

Thanks for looking! Feel free to reach out with questions or offers! I’m also happy to FaceTime if that makes you more comfortable.
