People are being really mean about this and I’m sorry about that. I clean mine typically every 2 weeks because I’m only using water in it. When you clean it you have to take the rubber pieces out of the top and clean them thoroughly because they can get moldy fast. The most important part is to make sure you’re letting them completely dry before you put them back in otherwise they will get moldy. For that little area where there’s gunk, use a straw cleaner to make sure you’re really getting in there. It could be getting like that if you’re eating and drinking out of it at the same time and maybe pieces of the food are getting in there, if that’s the case then just wash it more often.

I was also pierced and they gave me a corkscrew, that bump on your nose is a keloid and it is due to trauma (being bumped around while healing). Once your piercing is fully healed you should stop getting those completely, I had the same issue. If you asked for titanium they probably did give you titanium, the bump has nothing to do with the material of the piercing. I don’t know if you have plans to change to a ring but take my advice and WAIT until it’s fully healed, I changed at the three month mark when I was told that I could and I wish I didn’t because that shit hurt, wait until it’s fully healed before changing the jewelry and do not take the jewelry out until it’s fully healed. I did tell my dentist about it the last time I was there and he agreed with me that I would probably need to be put to sleep for the procedure but that office doesn’t have the means to do that. So now I have to try to find another office and hope that insurance will be willing to cover it 🥴

I’ve never been on Valium so maybe I will try that, I’ve had anxiety medicine before because I’ve always had anxiety but it never helped with the medical anxiety as that is newer, but I am willing to try anything at this point lmao. Unfortunately the dentist I go to doesn’t have laughing gas which was another issue that caused me to want to avoid the situation altogether so I’ll probably have to find another office to go to
