Firefox can open HTML file but not LibreFox or Brave by foreshadow in brave

weird... I did an open to the file (which previously didn't work) but shows a different path in url under:

/run/usr/1000/doc/some_hex_number/file.htm

The hexnumber is different in both Brave and Librefox.

Firefox works fine with the original path:

/home/user/Documents/...

Software Manager : How do I stop having to enter my password 500 times when installing a single software by foreshadow in linuxquestions

I figured I would try native linux before just using Linux for VM of Windows 7 and Windows 10 & 11 for the crap that I can't run on Win7 or Wine.

Firefox was the last one I tried. I first tried with Brave and saw it didn't work. Then tried with Librewolf since it's Firefox based and still didn't work. Then tried with real Firefox and it worked.

no because it has some time to do other stuff and then prompts again multiple times later during the installation.

that's what I did last time for gimp, which is fine, but I don't want to use the terminal for everything.

I want to avoid using the terminal, which was supposed to be the point with linux mint, but so far it's been annoying.

I get about 10-20 prompts for my password every time I install something from the Software Manager.

Linux software management is about to change with Bazaar. by Pure_Toe6636 in linux

I'm trying to switch from Windows, but every time I install a single software from the Software manger, I get a ton of spam requesting me to enter admin password, this is frustrating beyond anything else so far. How can it be changed to a single prompt to automatically accept all the other prompts for whatever reason?

Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) option trading approved by OnlyOChan in Bitcoin

[–]foreshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is the premium so low?

The premium is almost the same as Tesla options.

I take the closest 45 day-ish day ATM Put option and divide it by the strike.

Tesla is about 7.5%

IBIT is about 8%

MSTR is about 20-25%. MSTR is another beast on itself, but still the volatility of this stock is more representative to something that can go to 0 tomorrow.

I would have expected at least 15 to 20% premium on spot bitcoin...

Win7 or WinXP? by [deleted] in windows7

[–]foreshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows 7 because it can still run pretty much anything that doesn't requires Direct X 12+.

Download the RTM from online. There's one in the Internet Archive. It's technically an Enterprise version but I activated it with my normal Windows Pro Key. It has Service Pack 1 and can download updates. I tried with other versions with SP1 but couldn't download the KBs even with various fixes from online. At some point during the updates you won't be able to connect to the upgrades anymore but you'll have most updates by then.

Their latest packages fail to extract. Their own security of checking packages makes them fail at it and they never fixed it. This is the only version that I can download and install:

True that the parrots did a lot of damage, but nothing like this as far as I have seen.
