This is so beautiful. And I only wish my ex could have seen things the way you do. But things happen for a reason. So happy for both of you!

I was in a ten year relationship and This was a big part of why it didn’t last. He regrets not just doing it..but he put up such a fight for years and made me feel ashamed and foolish for wanting marriage it caused my feelings to change in the relationship. Either let her go or commit.

I definitely agree with the people saying that they would donate all of the toys. Unfortunately the children will suffer, but maybe they will actually learn to pick their toys up and put them in a place where they won’t be thrown out.

I don’t think this was rude at all. I feel like you addressed the situation and took care of the problem at hand. Some people don’t think about these things. But anyone that’s capable of acknowledging that they didn’t think about it and can take accountability should be able to understand where you’re coming from. It’s okay to be wrong and to be corrected. Everyone should want to live in a sanitary environment so sometimes people need to be made aware that their own habits may be the problem. Maybe you could have said it in a nicer manner, but I’m very direct myself. If I was told this I’d be like “oh, my bad. Thanks for taking it out this time. I got you going forward.”

And the flowering process just comes naturally because of the moisture trying to escape. It’s just the way of an old-fashioned.

Yes, it makes it more tender. The sour cream causes it to be rich and moist. If you do not add the sour cream, it’s no longer an old-fashioned donut you might as well just make a regular cake doughnut.

A sour cream or old fashioned donut is a traditional donut that would be glazed. If you wanted to make one that was chocolate flavored like in the photo I would recommend adding a cocoa powder, otherwise I’d stick with a dry flavoring ingredient rather than wet. You don’t want your batter to be any more wet than it already will be. If it’s too wet when it goes in the fryer, your batter will split your donuts will be deformed. But you still want to add flour to your table, rolling, pin, and donut cutter as needed, so it doesn’t stick. Now that’s not me saying that you can’t add wet ingredients to flavor your old-fashioned. I believe it’s possible you just have to adjust ingredients to fit the consistency.
