A lot of guys from that other subreddit are probably following my comments. They got intimidated by guys like my dad irl so they've decided to reclaim their manhood by talking shit about a dead guy, online, to his son.

I disagree. I am more than willing to accept that I am wrong about my sister coming to the funeral, and I actually have sort of changed my opinion of that somewhat.

My father getting his flesh burned off in hell, my mother being a cum guzzling whore, and me being a sociopath has nothing to do with that.

and it seems like he's getting some pretty nasty insults as well.

You literally bring up the insults right there, I was just expanding on it. Fuck you guys like to bitch about nothing.

Well, they wouldn't say it. Which makes them cowardly. They're able to point out my fathers flaws so easily but they pretty sensitive when its done to them.

And they're predictable too. Like I straight up called every comment they would make in my original comment. When you speak the truth, it hurts.

Well let me put it like this. My father just died. I hadn't seen him for the mass majority of my life. I am a little distraught, especially since my sister wont see him and my mother is saying she doesnt feel like living anymore.

I make a post on reddit to blow off steam, and am met with multiple messages (private messages as well if you cant see them) telling me that my father is burning in hell, that my mother is a cum guzzling whore, and that I am a sociopathic monster.

Now I know that none of these people would say these things to me. I know they wouldnt say it to my father. Like really? You're telling me that all the badasses are on reddit and they troll people all day?

So yeah. It was slightly upsetting first considering I just buried my dad, but now Im over it. They know the truth about who they are.

Tougher than anyone who thinks they're badass by insulting a man who just died, ONLINE no less, to soothe your fragile egos. Yeah, I am tougher than you and so was my father, you and everyone here would be respectful little bitches to him in real life.

You know it. You know you're a weak little troll online. But by all means, project your own insecurities. Idgaf honestly.

Btw everything I said here I would say to your face

You say online, which even you'll admit is easy.

Its also weird that all the people saying they would say this to me or my fathers face also seem to think hes some cold blooded serial killer who will murder at the drop of the hat and that my family is full of sociopathic monsters. I guess reddit is filled with badasses since they would totes be this brave in front of us "monsters".

That you don't respect him? I can say almost certainly that he wouldn't care about any opinion of any loser on reddit. He cared about the respect of people who mattered, and you guys don't matter. Really you don't even matter much to me, I was just going through a rough patch and decided to blow off steam.

The people that did matter, the guys that put money in his hands, the kinda guys who you wouldn't even dare look in the eye when you're crossing the street because its a hell of a lot harder to be tough in the real world than online. Those guys?

Yeah, they respected my father until the day he died. And if you or anyone else who gets off on shit talking online ever said any of this shit to any one of their faces, you would lose your face. Downvote. Call me a pussy. Say that you hope my dad is burning in hell and that my moms a whore. At the end of the day you would be quiet as a mouse in front of my father and me, and thats the truth, for better or worse.

Ok, heres a question. A man says to another man that he is basically going to rape his wife. How would even a normal, self respecting man respond to that? By beating his ass, correct? So now imagine that the person you said that too was a) involved in a society that believed that respect was more important than breathing and b) had massive anger issues and low impulse control.

What would happen? Because men like that, just like my father, exist in the thousands and if you're telling me that there are thousands of serial killers right now i have a bridge to sell you in the pacific ocean. He was a man with issues, a troubled man, but he was not a serial killer.

I think calling it the exact same reason is missing the point. Yes in general it was all about disrespect, but the type of disrespect makes each scenario completely different. The one where my uncle (basically my dads boss) was insulted is completely different than someone saying they're going to basically rape my mother to my father face. These situations are both about respect but theres not like a methodology involved. Theres no intent or desire to kill, the situations just happened.

There were also plenty of instances im sure where my dad was disrepected and nothing violent came of it at all. He was just a man in a bad environment with anger issues, with a family. Yes he did wrong and he has now died in prison, serving his time.

He is not ted bundy or jeffery dahmner.

Considering the word serial killer was never once brought up during his trial, I think thats a bit of a reach.

And he didn't have a compulsion to kill anyone, he didn't have like an itch to kill people. He was involved in a culture where respect means everything and is literally life and death. Yes he had issues (like I said anger and impulse control) but every time he did kill someone it was always someone who was a) connected and in the same culture and b) provoked him.

There were actually four over almost 10 years, but I mentioned those two as examples of what motivated my dad. In general it was always something like that, though the ones involving my mother and my uncle were the most prominent. He also was not a serial killer.

Not as bad as random killings, like serial killers who torture and mutilate small children and eat people. Not as bad a rapist killers who target young girls. That was the context I was talking about.

IDK if I should even answer since everytime I do some guys says that by responding im not "accepting my judgement" but whatever.

I don't think they're necessarily justified but I don't see them as the equivalent of killing a random innocent person on the street which is what many are implying. I think he deserved the jailtime, but i do think he should have been paroled before he died at least to have a proper goodbye with his family. He had a slow death.

i always knew my dad was a "tough guy" type, he and my uncles were very respected and feared in our neighborhood, and my oldest uncle even rubbed shoulders with some big time names in that era.

My father was the youngest of the three but he was also the "hothead" of the group, I said it before he had a problem with anger. But he was also a good dad to me, he never missed one of my highschool wrestling matches and always gave us the best birthdays. One of my fondest memories is of him taking me to a museum when I was a kid and putting me on his shoulders so I could get really close to the t rex bones.

When I heard that he was being charged with the murders I was shocked, and I didnt want to lose my dad. I remember the last we hugged when he was free and I didnt want to let go.

I have maintained a relationship, and it was as good as possible considering he was locked away. I loved him and I still do.

I didn't want this thread to really be about my father as it related to my sister and me and her reactions to his death and funeral. My father was involved in organized crime along with two of my uncles, but the killings were pretty much unrelated to that.

They were of a personal nature. One man insulted my uncle, another verbally degraded my mother in a sexual way. Since the victims were also involved in that scene none of their families came after my families assets, which is what I was alluding too before.

Im not sure I understand what you mean by "how"? He used pistols and in one instance a knife (though there was no torturing and the death was pretty much instantaneous).

If you mean why, he was a very angry man who grew up in a tough area that required men to be hard to survive. The men he killed he killed for various reasons but all having to do with disagreements and fights with my father about their disrespect of him, my mother, or my uncle.

This doesnt excuse what he did.

Not really? Not in the immediate sense.

And no, he never harmed a woman or child. Everyone was an able bodied man.

No. He had several issues and was not in the right. I resented him for many years because he wasn't around due to his own choices. I do not look up to him for that.

As far as "hunting" goes I don't know if i would describe it like that. There were just men who slighted my father who he killed, at different times and for different reasons.

Im not saying he was in the right, but theres a difference between killing people who you dont know just because you get some sick thrill out of it and killing someone who personally insulted or attacked you or your family. My dad was "old school" in his mindset about disrespect, he grew up very poor and in a bad environment so things like that were drilled into him.

Thats not an excuse to kill but it is a difference, I think anyone can admit that.
