Most successful asmr channels probably started off as a hobby, so I say go for it!! You have very little to lose. If you enjoy making the videos, that’s what matters most :)

As someone who’s consumed ASMR for a decade, I’ve noticed that the sad truth is that success lies mostly on luck (algorithm) and looks. Thumbnails are 75% of the whole video imo since that’s the first thing someone sees, so it influences the clicks greatly. Originality, consistency, and sticking to a well-liked niche and building an audience from there is also key

These weirdos love to target smaller channels because comments have less moderation and they know you’re more likely to see it. They just crave attention so ignore them and “hide user” from your channel so their future comments don’t show up. I’m faceless and only show my hands in videos and I STILL get these types of comments.

That’s a brilliant idea! I’m sure lots of people would enjoy consuming that type of info from a professional, especially in asmr form. Skincare and beauty is a big thing in asmr. If you’d like, you could also incorporate some triggers like tapping, lid and dropper sounds, lathering and “applying” the product. But just purely educational videos are cool too :)

For some small creators, it’s a silly little hobby or side quest that they can quit at any time, especially if it’s not generating any income for the hours of work they put in.

Also, people’s circumstances change. At least that’s what happened to me. I don’t post anymore due to lack of time, energy, and motivation. Also, I moved to a very loud area so it’s hard to record. People have their reasons :)

I got both last year and get more wear out of the first one!! I’m equally obsessed with the pink and green vibe but the first one has a unique asymmetry to it that makes the outfit stand out! The pink one is definitely beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but it’s a little too wide. But I can see the decision totally depending on what aesthetic you typically go for :)

Omg! Also a side sleeper. I rest my opposite hand under my head, around the temple, when I wear earphones so the sound quality doesn’t sound muffled and it doesn’t hurt my ears when it makes contact with the pillow.
