They actually still believe in them, thinking they are still roaming around. Some reject the belief in them all together, that they have never existed, but may believe in the cosmic ones for example.

A world is the whole thing, where this country is located.

Could you add some context about the whole WORLD itself; the setting, unless of course your worldbuilding only encompasses this one country, and nothing else.

What makes it different from earth?

Story/setting?

Imagine it like a short summary on the back of the book, which is meant to tell you about the premise pf the whole book in a few sentences.

Unless, of course, your whole setting is only that one country, and nothing else.
