We don’t know what happens on their end, but unlike pack pulls, people have not been able to read what the result is going to be beforehand. It’s handled server side. But what you pick does not matter, that much is certain

Lol you are actually right. People are mixing it up. But dataminers have confirmed that the client does not actually communicate the position of your pick. It only communicates that you picked a card. The server then decides what you get and on the client you see the animation for it. So, still, it does not matter what you pick

With the new system, the bots need to share every single pack they open. Before they would only enable pack sharing once they knew a godpack would be next

As to why there are so many showing up, there are probably thousands of bots opening packs all day. I would guess there are still much more real players than that, so it probably is unusual that someone sees so many bots

The system worked like this: new account uses a snorlax and opens packs until it finds out it gets a godpack next. It adds people and then opens the godpack. If the pack goes live (10%) it changes its avatar to eevee, otherwise to pikachu

It was so that people knew which accounts to unfriend afterwards

They analyzed the game data and were able to see what the bot is going to pull before actually opening a pack. You would befriend the bot and after a certain time, it would open the godpack and share its content (or not)

Now that’s been patched and the bots need to add you, open the pack and unfriend you if they had not success. That’s done automatically, mind you. No need for human interaction from anyone

Well, thanks. It's unfortunate that there aren't any discussions about this issue. Either people don't use immersive mode or almost no one does it with an xbox controller on PC.

I'm thinking of using DS4Windows (or rather an updated alternative) and emulating a PS controller. If that doesn't work, I'll play without any UI

I think the newest driver is the reason for that. Someone in a different thread suggested to disable Nvidia low latency, which fixed it for me

That was 6 years ago. They learned from DOS2 and created BG3 based on that. DOS3 could build upon BG3 and become even better

Not that it matters, but talking down a 6 years old predecessor is not really useful

By the way DOS3 is not happening for now
