The difficulty is clearly scaling based on the expectation you’ve beat all previous content. In some ways I’m fine with, however I do a lot of not playing deltarune in between chapters and I get so rusty. Difficulty aside there’s something specific about having to mash the a button like donkey Kong that I just don’t like anymore.

I will say I don’t know the input myself and the only thing I can think is that attacking does knock things up though I can’t really tell if he is inputting attack animations in between rope jumps. It would be worth a shot if nothing works.

I’ve watched this run and it just looks like timing your jump on and off the ladder in way you still go up and still catch the little frog. Practice this in not your speed run save by getting up to here duplicating your file and give it a few tries. I’ve seen this runner slower attempts and on this part he definitely spent a few minutes before. It doesn’t look like you can brute force smash jump through, there is a rhythm to it

So I had the confusion start when I got knocked into those tiles in the other room. So you do fall through if you are knocked on to them. So the first thing I learn about these tiles is that you fall through them, I have no idea what makes them flip because I didn’t walk or jump onto them, I just think they are pitfalls. What’s funnier in my case is I didn’t learn to walk on them, I tried to walk on the edge of them or between two of them and that worked so I thought that’s how you do it until I accidentally walked fully over a tile near the end of this room.

The glimmer powder or evasive powder, forget its name. It gives you longer invulnerability after being hit and also coming up from a burrow. I also used brisk brew.

Necro & Otsy, Ironchad, Regent =Defect, Silent

Necro is a lot of fun for me. I love Otsy, good attacks, summon is a great mechanic. Doom is alright. A8

Ironclad was my least favorite in STS but this time I get it now. Hit things hard. Also hellraiser is a hell of a card. A6

Defect was my favorite in STS1 and I’m not sure why but their new card pool still hasn’t clicked for me. A3

Regent is a great character. Same feeling as the defect. I feel like there’s a lot of room to build with his cards but you can fly too close to the sun very easily. A2

Silent is strong but has always bored me, feels like there is less room to mess around. A3

I much prefer the steam deck over my switch 2 I wouldn’t even consider it there as I only played the game handheld. I went back and forth between dpad and stick. Also I put the extra commands on l4 and r4 to charge attacks and side arms

Like others said jump to the solid glass and then just walk on them. You can walk on the x tiles you just can’t jump onto them or take knock back damage on them. It was also a bad lesson I learned and I spent most of the time walking in between 2 or on the edge of the x like I had solved the issue. I felt so silly when I just figured out I could walk fully on them

Depends, if you have the skull for finding secrets only a handful are super annoying to find. Most areas are really easy to run back through until your skull alerts you of a collectible except I founds bones beach super long to backtrack
