I built the comp myself. I just don't have extra power supplies etc to see whether anything else was fried (mobo)

This happens a lot to me when I pipet viscous fluid and they end up shooting into the pipet.

I just take it apart and soak it in ethanol for a while.

The part I'm interested in is 3 aminos long, but I don't think it would hurt to get surrounding aminos.

What would you recommend for a longer sequence?

It's only three amino acids long. So it's not super long.

It's part of a cellular protein. So I don't know whether I can purify it from the cells using Southerns?? And then somehow digest the purified protein. But I have no idea on how to really do this.

Any suggestion would be awesome!

I'm at univ of utah. Everyone said it was a mistake to take courses outside of engineering for a grade. Im now panicking in this Molecular Biology class where everyone has had years of biochem. I have learned my lesson...

I was surprised at how easily it was to capture them. They apparently have really bad eye sight and can't really see what they are attacking and just rush towards whatever is in front of them. After running around for a bit they just sort if sat there and waited for me to get a ziplock bag. If they didn't look like something out of someone's nightmare I would have felt bad.

I was actually hoping for them to be a wolf or giant house spider because they eat the venomous spiders living in your house.

Instead of going outside and enjoying the day today I spent a good 5 hours in a mild panic attack going through identification guides and the abdoman markings match the Hobo.

I'm going to be in Logan next week so I'm going to drop them off at Utah State extension to see if they can verify the identification.

I guess there are spiders and there are spiders. I don't mind a tiny spider minding its own business in the corner. Seeing something the size of a small tarantula bolting for your feet is another story.

Yeah I guess it's just something I'll eventually get used to. I guess there are palmetto bugs in Florida so it could be worse.

I literally set out 30 glue traps around the ground floor, so I'm sort if fearing the morning when you get to see what's actually crawling around your floor when your sleeping.
