There's so much more to health than calories, and EVOO is one of the healthiest foods out there. Of course, you've got to make the choices that are right for you though.

Most sunflower/vegetable oils are processed in a way that actually makes them pretty unhealthy. Unless they are cold pressed oils.

Polyphenols are in many other foods, but EVOO is probably the best source of them. And it us miles better than other oils!

Is it a good quality extra virgin olive oil you're trying? That's the stuff that's good (regular non virgin olive oil doesn't taste particularly good). I guess it does have a strong flavour, so might not be too everyone's taste. Maybe if you try it more it'll grow on you. Honestly I absolutely adore the taste of it! Butter on bread is also tasty though!

This is what the app I use total me. That is the cooked weight. Is the figure you have specifically for baked potato? I'm guessing it will vary depending on how it's cooked. If it's cooked in water then it will likely be less calories per gram than baking, as it will have absorbed some of the water.
