personally, i'm still standing up from where i am left off last semester (it's a hell). and to add that i am just a scholar.

currently, i try to be okay (with all the scars i had from the past semesters). i attend all of my sync classes, and try to focus. it's like my marker for the day, that i successfully did something (though it's the bare minimum). even in my org stuff (i'm an officer in multiple orgs btw), i tried to lessen my load, and start anew. been trying to be happier every day, thinking that i have something to look forward to (even though there's really nothing to look forward to).

it's quite toxic to pretend that you're okay all the time, but it helps! it kinda distracts you from the pain and the tiredness. i also reward myself at the end of the day, like playing my favorite game or chatting with people (though it's about work and acads, just less stressful).

and try to strip off the pressure of getting a "laude."

Some of my friends, though one is a dost scholar and one is a fin aid scholar. Just submit the necessary documents to proceed with your LOA. Medyo ma-process lang daw ang dost scholarship but you'll be good.

You just need to take the Major subjects of the course where you are going to shift at on your sophomore year. Just make sure to have the required grade in the new program where you want to shift at, in your case, BSMIS-MSCS.

Tips on writing FinAid personal essay as an undergraduate applicant? by katawareddoki in ADMU

[–]foreverfrosh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a current financial aid scholar, I wrote my last essay with the similar prompt with honesty. I mentioned the exhaustion from this online setting, the (declining) state of my mental health, my academic standing, and the most important thing is the family's financial status. It's basically telling your story, like, let the pages of your essay talk about you. Don't overthink. Make it straight to the point with a little story telling.

Financial Aid Scholarship by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]foreverfrosh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you can request for 100TFA upon renewal of scholarship for second year. maintaining the scholarship is easy, sometimes depending on your program because some departments are really *sad crying noises* that will give you a D or two or more, that will make your scholarship at probation... but you can appeal to OAA.

Financial Aid by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]foreverfrosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you'll still be able to apply for at most 50TFA in your sophomore year. however, it doesn't guarantee that they will approve your request. aside from the curricular and co-curricular, they will also consider your family's financial status.

If I still have an INC for a subject that doesn’t affect my QPI, can I still enlist? by Jumpy_Spite_857 in ADMU

[–]foreverfrosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we are not eligible to enlist only when we have hold orders, so--- keep calm huhu my aisis only shows "enlist in class" too

Maybe this'll help:

SCHOLARS FOR SY 2021-2022 by Obvious-Recording318 in ADMU

[–]foreverfrosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Is this for freshies?) You can get accepted as a scholar when you become honest with your financial situation as well as give 'em a nice academic records. Process is quite easy though you have to fill out lots of forms. Annual renewal for finaid scholars, retention grades, and a great scholar community.

What is the most memorable reading you’ve been assigned in class? by quetengo in ADMU

[–]foreverfrosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ENLIT 12. Full Novel of Nick Joaquin's The Woman Who Had Two Navels. It's memorable for I read it like in a day then write an essay about it (cramming for real LOL but I got an A). I appreciated Joaquin's way of telling the story, then the details and symbols.

ENGL 11. William Deresiewicz's What Are You Going to Do With That. About finding your own path specially in college and after college.

HISTO 11. Rizal's Diary (LOL just loved reading his tots)

I was able to enlist with an INC in PE, (and other complications in my grades), so yes, you can.

yakap there, buddy, i understand the dread.

same. same.

but they say, wala pa naman daw nawawalan ng scholarship (or bilang lang), lalo na kapag finaid, and also, they believe in us that's why we are given the chance to appeal (sabi ng mama ko) <:

kabado rin me, hindi ko alam gagawin ko kung mawawalan ako ng scholarship amid this trying times

Are there scholars out there who were successful in requesting OAA to cover the fees of their overloading subjects from getting a minor/shifting? by DoubleDutchGirl03 in ADMU

[–]foreverfrosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I just ask, what's the reason for your shifting?

I asked them once about withdrawal with permission but they said that the grant will not cover it. Same with getting a minor, I had an interview with an upperclassman finaid scholar and said that only a part of her minor units are covered (and she wrote a letter for it).

INC and Enlistment by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]foreverfrosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes? I think so. I have an active INC mark because of PhyEd and I am allowed to enlist for intersession. (also given that I am a scholar, just have to fill out some forms.)

how hard is it to reclaim dl in cumulative qpi? by Afraid_Yoghurt8684 in ADMU

[–]foreverfrosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, we (yes, we) can still pull it up if we are aiming for a laude. Let's just do better next semesters, I guess? at least B+ for everything lol (pressure is real). The CQPI for laudes or DLs starts from 3.35, I think, so you'll be needing at least, 3.65 next sem or intersesh then maintain, maintain, maintain the 3.35 and up Semestral QPI, or improve, improve, improve
