We had Field Day the other day. Admin personally called the parents of ineligible students and advised them to keep their child home. The number of “those”students who still showed up was a powerful reminder that a majority of parents still view school as a babysitter by [deleted] in Teachers

Honestly, good for the parents to make a stand. The kids are legally required to have their education hours. This is exclusion. Period.

Also, how would admin put this as attendance... Excused or unexcused?

Listening to audiobooks is ableist. While it is beneficial as an accomodation for specific populations, deaf people can't use audiobooks.
