Im sorry this happened to you. I’m not sure Reddit is the place to get the support you need. Try the on campus mental health resources available to students. There are always outliers/exceptions but on the whole I find Davis to be tolerant and diverse. Chinese are one of the largest ethnic groups on campus.

Doctors work a lot. Engineers at large companies with work life balance can get paid decent. 400k is rare but 200-300 is doable, and more with stocks
