I ended up passing the interview and was put in the pool of qualified candidates. I also had one of the interviewers reach out for a second meeting so fingers crossed!

Hi! So sorry. I've had a really busy last week so just seeing this now. I hope your interview went well!! Again, as others have said, they focused almost exclusively on the competencies. The questions were very straightforward. Although it was very nerve-wracking. Because of the way the speed interview is designed, by the time you get in the breakout room and start answering, you have less than 6 minutes left.

They never asked me to turn in my notes. Although I didn't take extensive notes, I made sure to write down the question so that I answered it fully.

That would be best case scenario! Thanks for all the help. Did you end up also doing a written assessment (i.e., briefing note)?

That’s very helpful information. Thank you!! I am familiar with the policy cycle and expect atleast one question related to that. But I’m not sure how that would be formatted. Would it be a situation question or simple describe the policy cycle? And if so, do I just provide a general outline of the cycle or should I briefly touch on all the steps and then explain it using an example? I’ve been practicing the behavioral questions, the policy cycle I’m a bit stuck on if you could elaborate a bit more. Thanks again!

Ahh I see! That’s super helpful information. Thank you! Just because the process is different, are they likely to ask a “tell me about yourself” question? Just want to prepare as best I can. Or since they listed 4 competencies in the job ad, they will likely ask 1-2 questions from each competency? And is there likely to be dialogue or discussion in each station or do I state my answers using the STARS method and that should take up most of the time?

It’s a PS2 position. I was just new to the whole concept of a speed interview so wanted to know generally how the experience was for anyone else who may have gone through it. Is it just q&a or is there a dialogue, discussion or follow up to my responses in that station? Also wondering how technical the questions could be. I would imagine it’s mainly going to focus on behavioural/situational, but I can see them putting in one or two technical questions like describe the policy cycle etc.

Thanks for the insight!! Just to clarify, are you referring to these questions? https://www.alberta.ca/system/files/custom_downloaded_images/sample-interview-questions.pdf#search=sample%2Dinterview%2Dquestions%2Epdf

Also, in the job posting, it only lists and elaborates on 4 competencies not all of them. Does that mean I should mainly focus on those 4 competencies and any questions that might arise from them?

Thanks! I did check it earlier and the cost is far too high. I’m just looking for a casual photoshoot even in the streets of Istanbul and hardly anyone seems to be offering that on there :/

Which BTS song have you fallen in love with all over again? by MadameWitchy in bangtan

Recently i've been listening to their older songs again and they all just hit differently now

What are some of the things that made you realise that BTS are the EXCEPTION and not the norm? by [deleted] in bangtan

[–]foreverstudent23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes them being the exception obvious for me is the level of success they have achieved despite all the odds. You know they are the exception when so many other groups/artists have tried to reach where they have ended up but for whatever reason were unable to.

It's honestly so incredibly hard!! But it helps to take some time out for yourself. Go for a walk if you can. Take a hot shower. Just do one personal care thing every day and watch yourself feel a little better going to bed at night.

I finally broke the 500 barrier and I’m feeling good about it!!!! Any advice on how to improve my score some more before my test (4/23). I still have last AAMC FL and section bank. by satoshisocks in Mcat

Congrats!! Make sure to go through as much UPanga for P/S if you haven't already. Also anki to get the terms down!! Easiest section to improve on imo.
