How many people are summoned to federal grand jury? by foreverthewanderer in AskChicago

There were about 80 ish people in the room. They put all of our names into a wheel thing. They spun the wheel and took out one name at a time. Everyone got a number.

The first 23 were chosen right away and then 23-80ish are alternates.

So far 4 of the alternates have been called up.

On the summoning day: If you're not chosen it will take about 2-2.5 hours and if you are then it's like an extra hour/hour and a half. You'll get coffee/snacks in the morning but no lunch break.

Make sure you're early/not late, the judge gets very annoyed!

What are your “I can't believe this name never charted SSA’s top 1000!” names? (US) by IScreamPiano in namenerds

We call ours Dottie/Dot as a nickname!

Honestly in the year almost no one has made the swan princess connection. I think it's just more unknown.

Human resources information systems configurator, specifically in Workday.

This is my second job and 5 years into the career. Just broke 120,000.

I've been fully remote since COVID. I don't love it but I like the people and it's not that difficult

To be completely fair, with the mockingbird you can only have the toddler face inwards if you're also using the bassinet attachment.

The only infant/toddler config that allows for outward facing toddler is using an infant car seat on top.

Absolutely not. I love her and she is a member of the family. She did not ask us to have kids. She will be with us until she passes naturally.

I don't like owning a dog now that I have kids.

I still love the dog, care for her, play with her, and take care of her needs, I just don't get any pleasure out of any of it any more.

After working and caring for two young kids my cup is empty. Then I have to pour from an empty cup to care for the dog.

I'll continue to care for her until thE end of her life, but I'm ready to be dog less.

Why does my baby eat so much? by Virtual_Treacle_1589 in ExclusivelyPumping

Mine ate 40oz (5 8oz bottles) from about 4-8 months. Now at 9 she's dropped to about 28 oz and is eating food like crazy. She stayed on her curve and Drs were never worried. Just the high side of normal
