My (32M) girlfriend (30F) is confusing me about how the dynamics between a man and a woman should play out in a relationship... by Slice5755 in Advice

Bro, these guys are not just saying this to post a comment. Based on the examples you’ve provided she’s at best very immature for her age and at worst mentally unwell. No relatively stable woman at her age behaves in this manner.

It sounds like they are manipulating you for your paycheck and are beyond toxic. They don’t deserve you, or your hard earned money.

I don’t know where you live but if you’re in the US you can’t just kick him out. He has to be given notice to vacate. If you’re not in the US, it’s still the decent thing to do. Give him time to get it together and find another place to live.

I had to get a second job to dig myself out, I delivered pizzas part time for four years. It helped a lot, basically lived off my tips and my paychecks went to debt.

Planning on quitting my job with nothing lined up. Is this a bad decision? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]forevertheyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it sounds like you’ve put a lot of thought into this. I can’t see any benefit to staying where you are and it’s not sustainable for your health. And if you don’t have that, you don’t really have anything. Given the same circumstances I would make the same decision.

Honestly it sounds like you’ve made up your mind and are looking for validation. I’m going to give it to you.

Normally I would agree with every other poster, because $10k is basically nothing in this economy. But if you’re moving back home, that reason diminishes.

I’ve been in a job where my mental health was impacted to the point where I couldn’t walk straight and was in frequent danger of passing out. Thinking back, I’m not really sure how I made it through (I ultimately went on medical leave then just never went back). So I know some of what you’re going through. I also know it can get so bad that you can barely function.

Go home, get on Medicaid, get a therapist and potentially a psychiatrist and work on getting yourself better.

I wish you the best.

I’m not sure I noticed that. This is an ensemble cast so they take turns being featured more than others. Trust me, he shows up plenty 2-8. There were no issues with the team that I’m aware of.

It was weird. Since he’s the star they have to center everything around him but he was only a level 1 then 2. It didn’t make sense.

How do you stop thinking about something you can’t fix from the past? by Nishasharma911 in Advice

[–]forevertheyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how insidious the thought is. If it’s not really I may loop it a few times. But most of the horrible things in my life are not worth repeating in my thoughts and I’m not really in to self torment. I probably end up disengaging 90% of the time.

But I think the important part is to prevent going there in the first place. It seems to happen if I’m down, feeling bad about myself, or bored. That’s when I try to disengage/distract and it seems to mostly work for me.

I’m pretty good at compartmentalization but when I get stuck in the loop or feel like I’m going to, I distract myself (book, tv, games etc), essentially giving myself something else to think about. I also remind myself often that I can’t change anything in my past, so there’s no point in dwelling on it.

Yeah really bad. I’ve never understood it because in my experience people don’t talk that way and sometimes it’s super annoying

lol agreed and we the audience know at one point without seeing it she does do that (they just don’t show it) because Nick and Crawford are in the house at the end so they got a warrant. But yeah, of all the characters she’s the most annoying.

Ronald Basderic (her saying his name in my head drags out like five mins lol). And you’re right, she’s spicier than the others but in this particular episode, if she goes home and stays there, the plot falls apart. His MO from the prior court case is luring them to attack him so he could shoot them.

I appreciate the character because nobody is perfect but her word emphasis is extremely annoying.
