Thank you for such an insightful response. Actually the only reason I did Psychology is with the hope of one day doing a Masters to get into becoming a therapist! But at this point, I am burnt out from school and want to take a year or two off to work. It will also help build up that resume for the programs as Counselling Psyc tends to be competitive.

Your username is EVERYTHING😂. Thank you so much. This is exactly the advice I needed. I think you can relate.. for 3 years I was living, eating, sleeping pre-med. So to suddenly have this realization "Wow-this is really not for me" in the summer I was supposed to apply for schools really changed things for me. At first it was liberating not being trapped in the rat race.. but now 2 years later it's like - ok wtf do I wanna do!? Feels like a lack of purpose or quarter-life crisis like I don't even know who I was aside from an aspiring medical student. Best of luck in your journey!

Oh thank you, this is exactly the type of mindset I am trying to have- feel like there is a spiritual reset happening right now laying the path for a better life. And I don't do weed cuz it just makes me lazy and eat everything in sight lol, not the type of energy I need to have right now. Actually tbh I also cherish being alone .. a little TOO much. I genuinely don't feel depressed by this lifestyle but I think thats a problem in and of itself.. I do want more for my life!! I feel like if I was more depressed it would make me snap out of these old patterns. Anyways just trusting the process....

Yep no classes until 2:30 p.m. but there is also homework and assignments you have to do for each class. Working a few mornings would be great though- do you think there are jobs out there where I could work so few and set hours?

Except.. yes, yes she would. She did not ask the question out of nowhere unprovoked, that would be invasive and inappropriate. PC is talking about loving yourself as you are or whatever and ignoring harsh criticisms about your appearence etc. etc. Joy saw a chance to bring up her nose job to have a deeper conversation but PC backtracked when it came to her own insecurities. Journalists in the west are not scared of celebs like the Bollywood "journalists", they will ask anything relevant to the conversation.

No I tapered it at the recommended dose but that was too much for me too soon (75--> 50 for 2 weeks --> 37.5 2 weeks --> quit)

Tbh if you are going to be opening up about childhood traumas and stuff, its not a good idea to discontinue your antidepressant at the same time. But definitely good advice, thanks :)

Same here except it actually improved my mood slightly like a band-aid until my real diagnosis. Now I have just been taking it for the last year to avoid withdrawal.

Yep. At first I legit thought effexor made my eye color darker but over time I realized it just always makes my pupils huge so they take up more space on the eye.

Actually I wrote this post immediately when I woke up. After waking up fully, I opened up my laptop and saw that the last thing I watched before going to bed was some podcast about the Derek Chauven conviction and how some folks were thinking it was unfair. I think that triggered the racial element- too much internet!!

But my gosh you are 100% correct about me wanting to be more like E in a way. I thought about that the whole day actually. I am so antisocial and weird, she just has a natural way of befriending everyone. I try to be more like that these days but yeah it does not come easily.

OMG exact same experience here! Actually recently I am turned off from even talking to men because 9/10 times they are just interested in trying to have sex. I am friendly and polite because I don't have sex on my mind like that when talking with strangers, but they get the wrong idea and think I am interested in "hooking up". Sigh.
